    BHU B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test

    The Banaras Hindu University conducts the B.Sc. Nursing entrance test for the selection of aspirants who are eligible to pursue the graduation program in Nursing within the University. Those who clear the written test can seek for admissions for the program in Institute of Medical Sciences that come under the University. The entrance test is carried out in many locations in Varanasi.

    Structure and Pattern of the BHU B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test

    It is an objective type test that consists of questions on Science subjects in the 12th Class. There will be 4 choices given to each and every question. Aspirants might have to pick the appropriate answer from the given choices. The test will last for time interval of 150 minutes. English will be the only mode of instruction for the BHU B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test

    Qualification Criteria for BHU B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test

    The eligibility requirement to apply for the test is a pass in the XII or equivalent examination in Science streams with Biology (Botany and Zoology together) as a subject. Applicants are supposed to have done the 10+2 course from a recognized Board. The percentage requisite in the intermediate exam is 50% for General, 45% for PC and 40% for SC/ST and OBC aspirants. Moreover; they must be aged above 17 years and should not be more than 25 years of age as on the notification date.

    Application Procedure for BHU B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test

    The notification for the BHU B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test will be published in all leading employment dailies. Applicants can obtain forms for the exam along with information bulletin from the IMS, Banaras Hindu University by hand or by post. They can also download forms from the institutional website: www.bhu.ac.in or www.imsbhu.nic.in. Applicants have to pay the mandatory test fee via DD taken in any Nationalized Bank in favor of the Director of the institute. Duly filled in forms are supposed to be dispatched to the IMS, Varanasi attaching the relevant documents mentioned in the prospectus prior to the last date.

    Examination Fees
    • For General and OBC Category students: Rs. 800/-
    • For SC/ST Category students: Rs. 600/-

    Important Dates
    • Period of sale of application forms: 2nd week of January – 1st week of March
    • Date of entrance test: By the last week of May

    B.Sc Nursing & B. Pharm (Ayurveda) Entrance Test - 2011

    Eligibility:
    -B.Sc. Nursing (60 seats)
    -B.Pharm.(Ayurveda) (30 seats) held on Sunday, the 22nd May 2011



    Qualifications:
    -10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) -minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% for General-PC candidates and 40% marks for OBC/SC/ST and respective PC candidates

    by sending a written request through Registered Post along with Crossed Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque (MICR only) of Rs. 100/- of a Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of “The Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU” payable at Varanasi.

    Application form will be sent by Speed / Registered Post.

    -Last date of requisition for form by post is 21.02.2011.
    -Incomplete/non-cashable Draft (under amount/unsigned/ without Bank Code No. & Seal) shall not be accepted.


    Application form duly completed must be sent through Registered Post so as to reach
