See both are equally good branches in terms of job scope.
Instrumentation is a special branch of electronics engineering
that deal with operation of measuring instruments which are used
in the design of automated systems in various process and
manufacturing plants.
So as a instrumentation engineer you can get a job in a manufacturing
plant, process plant like chemical, rubber, cement , glass, pesticides,
fertilizers plant, steel plants, refineries etc.
Wheras computer science has lot more subgroups like software devolopment,
software testing, computer architecture, database management etc.
So you have the flexibility to choose from a large no. of these options.
You can also choose to work in IT sector .
With instrumentation engg. degree, you can apply for more goverment
jobs as compared to computer engineering.
So it basically depends on your intrest what you want to go for.

There is good scope of This branch in India ,Here you can enter both core companies and Software field,You can go for Government sector also for varoius posts.In private sector you can choose companies like CISCON,NOKIA,RELIANCE INFOCOMM,VODAFONE,TATA INDICOM,AIRCELL,WIPRO,HONEYWELL,TEXAS INSTRUMENTS and many more,In semi government companies you can choose ONGC,NTPC,BHELL,DRDO,BELL and others !!!

Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is having a lot of job opportunities than Computer Science Engineering.
you can join in both software and core sector jobs in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
but in Computer Science Engineering you can only join in software sector.

Both the branches are equally having a good scope in their own way.

Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is a more recent branch and Computer Science Engineering is a branch that has been having demand from a long time with good future.

In term of job opportunities, computer science students have good opportunities because this is an emerging field. You can go in IT sector as well as software sector both.
