Re: Which is the best place to study B.Tech after diploma? Private colleges or University college?

The place is not important the important is that which entrance exam you have cracked.
There are various top institutes and colleges for engineering through out india in all locations.
You will only be eligible to take admission in top colleges/institutes if you will crack the top most engineering exams of india.
There are two engineering exams conducted in india for taking admission in reputed colleges of india.
These colleges/institutes are IIT'S colleges and NIT'S colleges.

    IIT-JEE
    AIEEE
    WBJEE
    OJEE
    APJEE
    TANCET
    etc.

However Bangalore ,Tamil Nadu,Punjab, new Delhi and Andra Pradesh are considered to be the best place for engineering.
In terms of low fee structure west-bengal,orissa,madhya-pradesh,uttar-pradesh,and chattisgarh are considered as best.

The list of top engineering colleges in india apart from IIT and NIT are:-

our study dosent depend upon colleges it depends upon how we study.. i think private colleges are much better than universities.. in private colleges u can get classes nd in universities they may not give u proper facilities and proper study which u need..

Thumbs up Re: Which is the best place to study B.Tech after diploma? Private colleges or University college?

    Hello friend,

According to the Latest Engineering trend, there is no matter whether the College is Private or Government, but the best place to do B.Tech these days is the University Campus. Most of recruiters these days prefer the students studying at University campus,so I would suggest you that you should try to get a seat in a Engineering college, which is inside the University campus, not outside of the University.

Most prestigious Colleges for B.Tech under University Campus category on the basis of 12Th are as follows:

    IITs.

    NITs.

    Punjab Engineering College,Chandigarh.

    BHU,Varanasi

    College of Engineering, Anna University,Guindy

    ISMU,Dhanbad

    BITS,Pilani

    BIT,Hyderabad

    BIT,Mesra

    PSG College of Technology,Coimbatore

    Manipal Institute of Technology,Manipal

Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad

Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology,Patiala

    Dhirubhai Ambani IICT,Gandhinagar

    Mepco Schlenk Engineering College,Sivakasi

Most prestigious University Campus for Diploma holders are:

    Punjab University,Chandigarh.

    Punjabi University,Patiala.

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology,Patiala.

Sant Longoval Institute of Engineering and Technology,Sangrur.

    Harcourt Butler Technological Institute,Kanpur.

    KIITS University,Orrissa.

    Chitkara University,Chandigarh.

    Guru Gobind Singh IP University,Delhi.

Amity School of Engineering and Technology,Noida.

    Delhi Technological University,Delhi.

    Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology,Delhi.

Since, you are a Diploma holder,so you need to qualify an Entrance test known as LEET(Lateral Engineering Entrance Test). On the basis of this, you will get admission in the above written Colleges. But for test, you need to fulfill the following conditions:

Eligibility conditions for LEET admissions are:

    • Diploma course must be completed by you with a minimum of 60% marks in Engineering from a recognized State Board of Technical Education.
    • You must not have any backlog left in Diploma course.
    • Your age must not be more than 28 years.

Duration of degree course on the basis of Lateral entry scheme= 3years.

    All the best.

Re: Which is the best place to study B.Tech after diploma? Private colleges or University college?

    It depends on various circumstances
From my experience i am telling you that Most of the government colleges have good reputation but teaching there is not so good.
whereas in case of private college.Teaching is very good.
    So decide properly
