The decision on the future step needs to be decided by you itself. You need to decide on job profile that interests you. If you wish to specialise further in the CSE stream then M.Tech is the better option. For this you need to take the GATE exam. If you wish to diversify and take a managerial role then MBA is the better option. You have the option to specialise in Information Technology or take up specialisation in areas like marketing, finance etc. If you plan to go for MBA then gaining some work experience will help you in your career growth.

Re: Best option between MBA and M.Tech after completing B.Tech(ECE) with 70% aggregate?

    Hi Buddy,

The decision purely depends upon you on your area of interest first of all lets compare between M.Tech and M.B.A.

    M.Tech - Master of Technology.

If you opt out for M.Tech then you will have to choose the subject for specilization, some of the specilizations are

    1. VLSI
    2. Embedded Systems
    3. Communications
    4. ECE
    5. Radar Systems

M.B.A - Master of Business Administration.

If you choose your career path as M.B.A, the complication that comes would be choosing a specialization that suits you better.

In M.B.A there are various fields to specialize and the top most being are

    1. Finance
    2. Marketing
    3. Operating
    4. Information Technology (IT)
    5. Human Resources (HR)

Your MBA specialization basically depends on your personality, skills, and career goals. Traditional fields such as Marketing and Finance will always be popular and hot Favorited. If you are comfortable to the background with balance sheets it would be better for you to do well with Finance specialization, but if you love to interact with clients, creative and innovative, and are good at influencing people easily then you can choose Marketing as their specialization.

Since you have 70% aggregate in your graduation if your good with basics and have confidence then opt for M.Tech, if not it would be idle to choose M.B.A as your career option in post graduation.

    All The Best.

    HELLO FRIEND
EVERY COURSE HAS ITS OWN VALUE AND NO COURSE CAN BE DEGRADED.
MTECH IS A PROFESSIONAL COURSE AND IT HAS A VERY GOOD SCOPE AND YOU WOULD BE PAYED BETTER TOO.YOU WILL SURELY GET EXCELLENT JOBS IN YOUR TECHNICAL FIELD ITSELF .
MBA IS ALSO A POST GRADUATE SCOPE WHICH HAS GOOD SCOPE .IT WOULD BE VERY USEFUL IF YOU ARE INTRESTED IN MARKETING SIDE, IF YOU ARE BUSSINESS MINDED AND WANT TO OWN A COMPANY AND IN SALES HR SECTIONS.
REMEMBER THAT AGGREGATE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR ENTRY INTO THESE COURSES
    .
YOU NEED TO GET QUALIFIED IN :
    GATE OR PGCET FOR M.TECH.
    CAT OR ICET FOR MBA.

    THANK YOU

    Dear friends,
you have got 70% in your B.tech.it is good score but not very well. if you think I can score better than it or I have done a lot of mistakes in the examination hall.if you are interested in technical filed and your mathematics is well then you M.TECH is the best option for you,for that you have to appear in GATE examination. If you think you can do better in the management filed, you can be interact well with the people.you can manage the things well if any opportunity comes.then you can choose MBA for your further study.for join the MBA there are two important entrance exam CAT and MAT.
but last decision is your decision dear.

Re: Best option between MBA and M.Tech after completing B.Tech(ECE) with 70% aggregate?

    Hello friend !!

You are from ECE background i.e Electronic & Communication Engineering.

As you have an aggregate of 70% in your Engineering (ECE) course, you have a glut of opportunities to step in.

You can easily get placed in any top MNC company for employment, you just need to have Good Communication Skills along with your B'tech aggregate.

You can get into either Electronic field or Computers field incase of employment.

Also the courses available for ECE Engineers are :

    MBA
    M.tech
    MS

All these above mentioned are Post Graduation courses which can be carried out within the country or can can be carried out at abroad.

Your Question is : " Best of MBA and M'tech ?"

As I said earlier, both the courses have same demand and scope and also market.

But in some scenarios M'tech has good scope and future .(hence am providing you the only details of M'tech Program0

    M'tech -- Master of Technologies .

    This is Post Graduation Course.
    Duration: 2 years.
Eligibility: Must be qualified in the GATE entrance examination .
There are many specializations available in M'tech Programme.

You can get into both M'tech fields of ECE and CSE backgrounds, so am providing you the Specializations of both the fields.

M.Tech specializations in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) :

    Advanced Communication Systems
    VLSI System Design
    Signal Processing
    Electronic Instrumentation

M.Tech specializations in Computer Science and Engineering :

    Computer Science
    Information Technology
    Information Security
    Software Engineering
    Distributed Computing
    Image Processing

This Program is highly beneficial when you complete it from the top M'tech colleges of India .
    some of them are :

Birla Institute Of technology, Pilani campus, Goa campus
University of Delhi has two M.Tech colleges namely Delhi College of Engineering and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology

Re: Best option between MBA and M.Tech after completing B.Tech(ECE) with 70% aggregate?

To the best of my knowledge, its better for you to try for job opportunities soon after the completion of your B.Tech course in CSE. The reason why I am telling this is, IT is an excellent boom in these days. The candidates who are going to join as Freshers in top IT companies after completion of B.Tech are being paid excellent salaries.

Microsoft is offering more than 10 lakhs package per year for B.Tech freshers. Not only this, many IT companies will pay good salaries for the B.Tech CSE candidates. But only thing is that you should have to crack the selection procedure by showcasing your subject knowledge and communication skills.

In order to be eligible for many of the IT companies, the selection procedure will be by
    -Written Test
    -Technical Round (written exam, Interview)
    -HR Round (Interview).

Some companies will also conduct JAM and Group Discussion as a part of selection procedure.

Some other companies will conduct a series of technical Interviews with different managers to check the level of knowledge of the candidate.

So, it is must that you have to have strong knowledge of your B.Tech course and should be able to explain clearly the projects and summer internships that you have finished.

In order to be eligible for many of the IT companies, one should be a career 60 candidate in the sense one should have scored a minimum of 60% of marks in all the academic levels.

Some companies will also put the minimum eligibility criteria as Career 75.

If you are not a candidate of career 60, then I recommend you to opt for higher studies like
    -M.Tech or
    -MBA

If you have profound interest to pursue you Post Graduation in Technical related streams, then better to opt for M.Tech course.

In contrast to this, if you are interested to pursue Post Graduation in Management related courses, then better to opt for MBA course. The scope for job opportunities are very high for MBA candidates when compared with M.Tech candidates.

This is because each and every business needs Managers at various levels in order to manage the various activities of the several departments in the organization in an efficient and effective manner.

Take wise decision and make foundation for fruitful career.

    Hi,

As you are the student of Electronics and communication .So in my views you must go for the M.Tech as you are going to be engineers in the technical field. However if you get good rank in CAT then go for MBA.so take a decision and secure your future.

    All the best..................

Re: Best option between MBA and M.Tech after completing B.Tech(ECE) with 70% aggregate?

    Hello My Dear Aspirant,

    M.Tech and MBA,Both are post graduation courses.We cannot decide which is best one.These two are good courses and providing good employment opportunities.If You are having interest towards Teaching Field then You can go for M.Tech or If You are having interest towards Management then You can go for MBA Course.But If You consider opportunities then You can find huge opportunities with MBA Course but It can be possible only when you pursue MBA Course from Top Business Schools then only it is possible to get good jobs in the top companies with good packages.So my suggestion is try to go for MBA Course where You will be having chance to get opportunities in the campus itself.CAT is a common admission test conducted by IIMs to get admissions in to their management programs.This is a online test.If you score more than 90 percentile then only you will be having chance to get admission in to this institutes.In My Opinion CAT is the best entrance exam to get admission in to Indian Top Business Schools.If You do hard work for This exam,Then You can get good percentile.But try to get more than 96 percentile in CAT entrance test then only You will be having chance o get admission in to Top Business Schools in India.There are plenty Of specializations in MBA Course;

    -Marketing Management
    -Logistics Management
    -International Business Management
    -Retail Management
    -Finance Management
    -Banking Management
    -Systems Management
    -IT Management
    -Pharmaceutical Management
    -Hospital Management
    -Textile Management
    -Petroleum Management
    -Entertainment Management etc
