    Hi dude...
M.Tech in EEE(Electrical and Electronics Engineering):
Mainly the selection criteria is based on the entrance examinations after completing undergraduate course. The entrance examination for the M.tech is the GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test).the selection to gate or the the selection to the M.tech is dependent on the Gate Percentile/Rank secured by the students in the GATE examination.
Other institutes Such as IIT's and the NIT may conduct other entrance examination of their own for the selection into the M.tech course and the selection procedure for them will be different, compared to GATE...
In the case of IIT's and the NIT ,minimum of 70% GATE weightage and the other 30% is of the written test and the Interview conducted by the IIT's and the NIT according to the selection...
The selection procedure may differ from year to year.so it is better to check by refering to the information Brochere..
There are many specializations in M.tech in EEE branch, some of them are...
    *VLSI/Micro Electronics
    *Electronic design and Technology
    *Systems and signals
    *Digital Electronics
    *Computer science engineering
    *Instrumentation and controls
    *Aerospace Engineering
    *Power systems operation and Control
    *Power electronics
    *Power systems
    *High voltage engineering
*Inter disciplinary courses like satellite technology,Internet service etc.....
These are some of the specializations that are available in the M.tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering..
If the student scores more then more then 98% in the entrance examination like GATE,They may have the chance of getting into the IIT's.If the percent is less then 94% then they can also try in the NIT...
The candidates who had been selected or qualified in GATE will also receive the Stiphund given by the Government of India.Hence it needs good score in the GATE for securing good seat in nice college...

Re: Which is the best M.Tech specialization for a EEE student?

    Hi Friend...

Primarily the selection key elements is based on the entry ways checkups immediately after concluding undergraduate course. The entry ways assessment with the M.tech is definitely the GATE(Graduate Skills Test).the range in order to gateway or the the selection to the M.tech relies upon the particular Door Percentile/Rank collateralized by the students within the GATE examination.
Various other organizations Including IIT's plus the NIT may well perform alternative entry ways assessment of their very own regarding the selection into your M.tech program and also the selection process of these individuals changes,in comparison to GATE...
When it comes to IIT's plus the NIT ,a minimum of 70% GATE weightage plus the alternative 30% is in the published test and the particular Employment interview done by the IIT's plus the NIT in accordance with the selection...
The choice course of action could differ through season in order to year.so it is far better to check by refering in order to the knowledge Brochere.

    1. VLSI Style & Included program

    2. Tiny Electronic devices

    3. Electric Style & Technology (Chip Design)

    4. A digital Electronic devices

    5.High Voltage Executive (Only IISC)

    6. Instrumentation & Settings

    7. Aerospace Executive
