Which is the best courses after MBA in Finance - CS, CA, LLB, ICWA?

    Hi,
I am Poonam. I have done MBA Finance after BA (Mathematics, Economics). I am working in HDFC Bank. I want to opt for any finance course. Please suggest me the best course. I'm not interested in the field of banking. I would like to change from this field. Should I pursue CS, CA, LLB, ICWA or any thing else?

Re: Which is the best courses after MBA in Finance - CS, CA, LLB, ICWA?

Since you have clearly mentioned that you are not interested in the field of Banking it is a good idea for you consider doing any other course. Both CA and ICWA are accounts related. By pursuing CA course you will be required to study the various aspects of financial accounting and also the laws which impact the finances of the various types of organisations. ICWA is more in the Management Accounting. CS is more into the laws that any corporate needs to abide by. By pursuing law as a subject you can consider going in for law practice. The decision needs to be taken by you. As it is important that you have interest in the same. Only then will you be able to reach the heights in career.

Re: Which is the best courses after MBA in Finance - CS, CA, LLB, ICWA?

You can choose among CA, LLB or ICWA courses for getting more knowledge. However, all these are long-term courses. It will take 3-5 years to complete all these courses. In addition, it will be hard for you do the course being an employee. Since you have done your MBA in finance, you can do any short-term courses in area of interest. As you want to grow up your profession, it is better for you to pursue any of the interim courses in Indian Institute of Finance and Management. IIFM offers so many diploma, certificate and management programs in the diverse streams. Please visit the IIFM authorized website for knowing more about the courses offered and the admission procedures within the institute.

CS,CA LLB ,ICWA all these courses are long term courses and all courses are good and all have equal opportunities for making your career well and good,..
But if i am in your position then i choose LLB it is very highly reputed course among all courses which have you given and Job opportunities are also in very large Scale.
Now decision in your hand what you choose..???

You can choose the c s or l l b. Because other courses are most releved to banking. If your not interested to banking field. Which means not interested in banking or bank job. What is your interest you can select that. Best of luck your choice.

Re: Which is the best courses after MBA in Finance - CS, CA, LLB, ICWA?

In my opinion and to the best of my knowledge a student who has completed MBA(Masters of Business Administration) in Finance should select Chartered Accountancy course
out of the four options. The reason behind this kind of suggestion is that- as a person who has already a lot of knowledge about Finance would be able to enhance his or her knowledge to a great extent
by pursuing this brilliant degree. This degree not only provides you with a very good amount of salary or fees but also with a good reputation in the society as well as the organisation.

The procedure to become a Chartered Accountant can be outlined as follows:-
1)CPT(Common Proficiency Test)- This is the first level to proceed in this direction. It consists of a objective test of 200 marks. The subjects which are asked in the examination include- fundamentals of accountancy. economics, merchantile law and quantitative aptitude. It requires a candidate to get at least 100 marks to qualify the exam.

2)The second level is intermediate level that is IPCC(Integrated Professional Competence Course)- It consists of seven subjects for example- accountancy, cost accounting, financial management,
    audit, information technology, etc.

3)The final level of examination is CA final. But it can be appeared only after completing intermediate level of exam. But before that you have to complete three years of training with any chartered accountant which is practicing in India.
Apart from that the other options- CS, LLB and ICWA are also good options but it only requires a candidate to do do a lot of hard work. And the stream from which a candidate belongs also
affects the decision to pursue a course as many candidates feel comfortable to opt for a course in their stream. But interests of the candidate in a particular course are also important.

    Hi..
You seem to show an immense interest in Finance. I hope you will be interested in Accounting too. If that is the case then I would suggest you to take up CA for core accounting knowledge. Else you can take up ICWA for specialization in Cost accounting. Both are interesting fields.
You also have a better choice i.e., to do MFA. You can specialize in both Finance & Accounting. This will be even more interesting for you.
    Hope you choose your interest.
    all the best
