    HI there!
    >>Between .net and Java, choosing or suggesting any one is tough call.
    >>As these days .net is providing more job oppertunities to the freshers,
    >>Where as Java is the most stable performer in the IT business
    >>But still i will suggest you for Java as if you learn Java,.net will be a piece of cake for you.
    >>Look yourself to both of these and choose any one.

    All the best

    Hi dear

These days both java as well as .net have their roots in IT industries.
But its completely depends on your interest.
If you have very good programming skills than you can go for java.
If you have little bit programming skills with interest in designing than you can go for .net.
If you want to go for java then there are certification courses provided by SUN MICRO SYSTEMS which helps you to know more and more about java.
These days ANDROID market is on rise which is based on java.
Many more companies also provides jobs in .net.
Both java & .net provides job opportunities in IT companies.

    Good luck.
