    My dear friend ,
As per my concern B.Tech is best as compared to B.E .As you said that
you have completed Diploma in Mechanical engineering that's a good thing .
Now you can get admission in any engineering through Lateral entry scheme .
There are following criteria for lateral entry scheme :-
1]A candidate should have science stream in 1o th class
2] He should have diploma in those field which is related to engineering.
3]He should have at least 50 % in diploma
4]Then a candidate has to give entrance exam
5] After clearing the exam a candidate is eligible for engineering
6]He will get direct admission in 2 nd year of engineering
So if you have 50 % IN DIPLOMA then you will get admission in engineering .
    Thank you .

hello friend B.E and B.TECH both are same one is BACHELORS OF ENGINEERING AND OTHER BACHELORS OF TECHNOLOGY.Both has same value , both are same course, all you need to do is apply for the diploma cet to get into engineering course, you can enter directly second year of the engineering. The course fees would be as per the cet norms, some of the good courses here are,

    **Electronics and communication.
    **computer science.
    **information science.
    **mechanical.
    **civil.
    **electrical.

There will be good placements here if you get a minimum of 60% in engineering, intop mncs like the wipro, tcs, hcl,hp.Lots of opputunities in india and across the globe with huge salries for the engineering students, later you can go for the MTECH.
