    Re: Which is best among B.Tech(IT) and B.Sc(IT)?

    This is the difference between Bsc(IT) and Btech(IT)

    Bsc(IT)
    Basic science (pure science).
    Broad and theoretical science.
    The content is general with no specific changes / option for selecting a specialisation.
    You need to do M.Sc / M.Tech / M.E / MBA. for specialisation.

    career prospects
    LOW since the course is general in nature, you need to complete M.Sc to get a good start to your career.

    Higher studies

    If you are interested in research work, you may do Masters (MSc) and then PhD.
    If you are interested in management stuff, go for an MBA after B.Sc.

    BTech(IT)
    Applied science (technical / technological).
    Practical and technical science.
    Its designed on individual field of engineering with an option to choose further specialisation / elective, in the final year, under your chosen field.
    This helps you focus on your specific area of interest.

    Career prospectus:
    GOOD the choice of engineering discipline + further specialisation under it gives an edge to choose and follow your career goals in that segment.

    Higher Studies:
    If core engineering stuff is your forte / research work, you may do your Masters (M.Tech / M.E) and later PhD.

    B tech IT have more scope than B Sc (IT) as more IT companies prefer to have technical skills which you can get only in B Tech. and obviously salaries are much higher then the B Sc graduates.

    both are good courses. but according to me in terms of future scope,job opportunities B.Tech(IT) is better than B.Sc(IT)
    upon completion of B.Tech you can get good and high-pay jobs in top MNCs like TCS CTS Infy etc.
    B.Sc can also fetch you job in those MNCs but the job profile will differ for B.Tech. so i would suggest you to choose B.Tech.
    all the best

    B.Tech. is definately a better option as technical course is always preferred.Engg. students are easily placed in various companies like HCL,WIPRO,TCS,INFOSYS,ACCENTURE,BIRLASOFT,CAPGEMIN I,GRAPECITY,HP,IBM etc.So go for engg rather than a simple B.Sc.

    Both are related to software fields.But btech is a profesional course where you wil get more oppurtunties.In perhaps each and every software company you will be able to apply whereas in b.sc it would be limited to some companies with limited post.So from my point of view btech is the best option.

    B.Tech IT is the best course in between B.Sc IT and B.Tech IT so you can apply for the B.Tech IT course in order to get the good job as a software engineer in the top MNC and also you can go through the better placements with the B.Tch IT course and also you can have many opportunities with this course if you be perfect in any of the computer language.

    hello..
    blindly B.tech(IT)is far better than B.sc(IT)...
    In B.sc you are about to study other subjects too keeping IT as you honours subject..
    But in B.tech you will be made to study detailed syllabus for IT..
    moreover better practical view is from b.tech..
    this about studies..
    talking of jobs you get far better scope by being a B.tech(IT)..
    and in addition further studies like MBA will boost up your career..
    so i would say go for B.Tech(IT).

    Re: Which is best among B.Tech(IT) and B.Sc(IT)?

    Hello friend..!!

    ->B.TECH is the best course .

    ->B.TECH stands for Bachelor of technology and B.Sc (IT) stands for Bachelor of technology in information technology.
    ->B.TECH is of 4 years degree course and B.Sc (IT) is of 3 year course.
    ->Only non-medical students can do the B.TECH and B.Sc (IT) can do all students from any stream.

    STREAMS IN B.TECH

    • Computer science engineering
    • Information Technology
    • Production engineering
    • Mechanical engineering
    • Food technology
    • Nanotechnology
    • Electrical engineering
    • Electronics and communication engineering
    • Biotechnology
    • Aeronautics engineering

    And you can do only Computer related study in the B.SC (IT) course so B.TECH is much better from B.SC(IT).

    thank u!!

    My dear Friend every Course has its own Importance.

    B.Tech deals with Technology and the Subjects are well detailed and vast.
    You get to learn about almost every possible technology related subjects for example Computer subjects, Electronics subjects, Electrical subjects, Mechanical subjects, Physics and Chemistry as well.
    Moreover B.Tech (IT) will teach you a lot of the IT world and changes going over their and the latest technology going on.

    But B.Sc (IT) focuses more on the Computer subjects rather then all the possible field subjects.
    You get to learn a lot about the Computer Subjects in Detail.

    So Personally i would recommend you to go for B.Tech (IT) as it also has very wide scope in the IT companies.

    The list of those companies are given below:

    --> Infosys

    --> TCS

    --> Wipro

    --> Stayam

    --> Oracle India

    --> Microsoft

    --> IBM

    --> HCL

    --> HP

    --> Tech Mahindra

    --> Dell

    --> Nokia

    --> Samsung

    --> Siemens

    --> Philips etc.

    So i would suggest you to go for B.Tech (IT).

    Rest it all depends on you.

    So

    Regards
    tanveersandhu.
