    hello,

B.Tech is engineering degree. you will gain knowledge only through full time course. in full time course you will be trained by the faculty on various aspects like work shop, practicle labs, research activities, live projects etc...for distance students, we don't find such type of activities. more over companies will not prefer correspondence B.Tech. they prefers only regular B.Tech.if u B.Tech in correspondence, this is no use to you. simply it will help you to put in your name plate, for that only it will useful you. for career,it won't use. better to delete this idea from your mind.

if possible try to do regular course. otherwise don't go for correspondence course. completely waste of your money. i hope you got my point.

    good luck...

Before joining for any course, make sure itís from a recognised institute. There is no harm in joining for a correspondence course. But you should join for the same only if it is a must. Since you plan to pursue B.Tech course, it is better to go for a full-time course. You will get better training as value addition. Most of the companies prefer candidates who have completed full-time course. You have better career prospects on completing a full-time course. So, you can take a decision accordingly. While selecting a correspondence course you need to ensure that institute or university is approved by Distance Education Council.

No, the B,tech course in correspondence is a useless useless course. You will not gain any knowledge by doing this. Since B.tech is an enginnering course so you have to gain knowledge from this course. Its a four years course. In regular course you will be trained by the faculty, you will have workshops, labs, seminars, live projects,ete.. If you are not doing this course in regular you will not gain any knowledge.

So it is not a worthfull course

    no.......
btech in correspondence is equivalent to doin nothing
btech is a degree course which enables you to become an engineer and then engineers are required in various fields.
i dnt think any correspondense course in btech is available.
so if you want to do btech , i would suggest you to go for a regular course.
and there are diploma courses also. you can also go for that.

    Dear candidate
if you want to persue B.tech than go for regular course in place of correspondence degree. regular degree is more beneficial for every candidates.
correspondence b.tech programme is good for the candidates who have completed diploma in engineering.
A candidates should persue regular course for better knowledge as in the regular b.tech programme the students is teached by the experianced
faculty members and proper training is also given to the candidates which is very necessary for students and their career.
so, you are adviced to persue B.tech in regular.

    Dear Aspirant,

Corresspondence course is of no use for B tech course. Instead you can try for evening college course after diploma. You must have done diploma and get a decent job which allows you to continue your studies by issuing a non objection Certificate. Else you can also take up AMIE after diploma.
Recruiters will not prefer corresspondence course Btech graduate due to lack of practical knowledge. Better do it in regular course.

    Dear friend,

I would suggest you to go for a full time B.Tech course because it is a more practical oriented degree. Here you should have a first hand knowledge of various software ,tools, machinery etc. which are required when you start working in the industry. Theoretical knowledge is also important but not as much as the practical knowledge. Hence i would advice you to join a ful time course if u want to pursue it as a course.

    Best of luck!

    HI,
The knowledge that you gain in the college is some thing different then other sources.
If you have chance to do B.TECH in a regular batch you can do instead of going for correspondence education.
Doing B.TECH by regular course is more valuable and use full more you.

    GOOD LUCK!

    Hi ,

Its not a wise choice. B.Tech is much different from your academics of Schooling and +2.
The Subjects are vast ,in depth and you need to pay much attention for it. Especially like Programming , Electrical subjects.

If you are looking to gain knowledge ...then opt for Full time program. Where as , If you are looking only for the "Degree" sake then correspondence will do.

    Hi

B.Tech is the Bachelor in Technology course, which is aimed at making efficient engineers out of the aspirants.

Now 99% of the colleges provide only the regular variant of this course, as it's a full time 4 year degree course. So nobody can cope it up in a part time basis.

However still there are some universities which provide the Part time variant also of B.Tech course.
IGNOU - Indira Gandhi National Open University is one of those.

So if you have any boundations regarding the regular course then you can surely take up the Part time or correspondence version of this course.

But remember the Full time regular course would be more better and more preferred by the companies during the placements.

    All the best.

Re: Is the B.Tech course in Correspondence worthy doing or not?

In my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, if you have the choice of selecting between a correspondence course
and a regular course, then you should always select the regular one.The reason being that it has more value in the job market
and at the same time you gain more knowledge by opting for this course. So, if you have to select between an option
to pursue B.Tech from correspondence or from regular mode, then you should definitely go for B.Tech from regular
one as it has more value.

But if you are making a choice between B.Tech from correspondence or no course, then you should select B.Tech from
correspondence instead of dropping the idea to pursue B.Tech, unless you do not have any other course which you can pursue.
