    All graduates can apply for this post. The candidates should have studied in recognised institute. The notification does not specify the minimum marks required. Also their age should not be less than 21 years and not more than 30 years. Relaxations in this criteria are there for candidates belonging to SC, ST, Physically Challenged etc. Since you have completed graduation you can apply provided you satisfy the other criteria. The application form for the next exam should be available in February, 2012.

    Yes, You are Eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination to become IAS/IPS Officer.

    >> Any Graduates passed candidates are eligible for UPSC Civil services examination, Final year Graduates candidates are also eligible for this examination, There is No minimum percentage eligibility criteria to apply for this examination, Any Graduates passed candidates are eligible for This examination, And after completing B.sc mathematics course you are eligible for this examination.

    >> The examination was Conducted by UPSC Every year, and the Notification of this examination was Published in the employment Newspaper OR in the UPSC website in the Month Of February. For This year examination was already completed, the examination was Held in 2 Stages - preliminary examination and Main examination.

    >> For this year preliminary examination was already completed and the results of preliminary examination was already declared and those who cracked this examination was eligible to appear in the Main examination, The Main examination was Going to be held on October 2011.

    So, if you are Interested in this examination then please apply for Next year, the Notification of Next year examination was Published in the Month of February i.e. on 04/Feb/2011, the schedule and dates of next year examination was already availiable in the UPSC Website, So please check the UPSC website for complete Information.

    The Preliminary examination was Objective and there are 2 Papers in this examination and Both are of Same Marks and Duration. So, please prepare for Preliminary examination according to the syllabus, Only then you will be able to cracked the Preliminary examination.

    >> So, to apply for this examination you need to complete your Graduation and Your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    >> General candidates in this examination will gets only 4 Attempts to cracked this examination, 7 Attempts is applicable for OBC Candidates and No limits for SC/ST Candidates and If you need more Infromation then please check the UPSC Official website -

    Hello friend,
    IAS / IPS Exam are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). IAS /IPS (Indian Administrative Service / Indian Police Service) is the Administrative civil service of the executive branh of Govt. of India.
    1. The IAS exam are held in every year conducted by UPSC . It has three stages firstly the primary exam, then second is main exam and finally interview. the primary test covers the aptitude, general mathematics, general knowledge, comprehensive English and social studies etc...

    2. The minimum age is the 21 years and maximum age is the 30 years , the upper age limit for SC/ST candidate is 35 years.

    3. The educational qualification for the IAS /IPS exam is graduate under a recognized university or intermediate in the final year of the graduation . The graduation may also be in any discipline ( B.Sc, B.Com, B.A) .
    So, you are applicable/eligible for the IAS/IPS exam .

    Yes you can Give the IAS/IPS exam . because it only requires the bachelor degree with a recognised university .You can opt IAS/IPS exam in next year i.e on 2012.
    if you are fulfilling the eligibility criteria for IAS/IPS then you can give the exam for this.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IAS EXAM:-

    Candidate should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.


    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IPS EXAM:-

    IPS exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) when positions are vacant.

    Educational qualification:-One should hold a degree of any recognized university. He/She should be an Indian.

    Age Limit: - 21 years to 30 years.(for both cases)

    Attemptsfor both cases)

    For General - 4 times
    For SC/ST - No limit
    For OBC - 7 tines

    Eligibility Conditions:

    (i) Nationality:

    (1) For the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India.
    Age limit:
    21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption from the prescribed age limit.
    Minimum academic qualifications prescribed:- A degree from a recognised university or equivalent

    yes you can apply for the IAS/IPS exam the
    qualification criteria is graduation in any discipline and
    the age limit is more than 21 and less than 30 age relaxation for sc/st and PHC
    the UPSC has divided this exam in to two:
    priliminary and
    mains
    priliminary consists of objective
    mains consist of discriptive
    apply for the exam and do well
    follow the current affairs and politics
