    Assist me about appearing in NET SET exam if I have cleared M.Com exam before 2 years with 65%?

    hi want to pass M.com exam before 2 years with 65% & i want to given netset exam so assist with this.

    Dear friend,
    NET(National Eligibility TEST) is conducted by central gov. of India.It is the mandatory exam,which need to be cleared if a person wants to become a lecturer in any degree college.

    My friend if you also want to be a lecturer in govt. college then you have to appear for NET exam.

    But SET exam is conducted by state gov. to select candidates for the job of sr. sec. lecturer in school.

    If you want to be a lecturer in school then you have to appear for SET exam.

    As you have done M.Com with 65% marks then you are eligible for both NET and SET exam.

    Eligibility Criteria For NET:

    1. You should be an Indian.

    2.If you have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC are eligible for this Test. The Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent.

    3.If you are appearing for the final year exam of masters degree can also apply.

    4.You should not be more than 28 years . A relaxation upto 5 years is provided if you belongs to SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories and to women applicants.


    Pattern of the NET exam:

    The UGC NET 2011 Test will consist of three papers.

    Session Paper Marks Duration
    First I 100 1¼ Hours (09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.)
    First II 100 1¼ Hours (10.45 A.M. to 12.00 NOON)
    Second III 200 2½ Hours (01.30 P.M. to 04.00 P.M.)

    Paper-I will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.

    Paper-II will consist of questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.

    Paper-III will consist of only descriptive questions from the subject selected by the candidate.

    NET exam is held twice a year.

    Online registration of UGC-NET to be held on 24th December, 2011 (Saturday)

    So you need to study hard if you want to clear the exam.

    Friend , NET is the better option after completion of your Graduation .

    NET stands for -- National Eligibility Test .



    NET is the National level entrance examination in India conducted for only postgraduate candidates .
    This examination is conducted for the students to qualify for admission in Ph.D research and/or University Level Teaching Jobs in India.

    The Eligibility Criteria for NET Examinations 2011 is :

    Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test .
    Even if you are Graduate Final yr are also eligible for appearing for this examination .
    You must be in the age of 20-28 yrs then only you are applicable for this examination .

    The exam is commenced on Dec 24th 2011 .

    25th Oct 2011 is the Last date for Applying On-Line .
    31st Oct 2011 is the Last date for receiving the printout of online Application Form .

    The Test will consist of three papers.

    All the three papers will be held on 24th December 2011 in two separate sessions .

    You can apply online through www.ugcnetonline.in .

    For General candidates, the examination fee is Rs.450/- ,
    for Other Backward Classes the fee is Rs. 225/- and
    for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates, it is Rs. 110/- .

    Yes, You can apply for NET. As there is no specified information there in NET website about the Gap in your studies. So, You are eligible to write NET after your M.Com even it was completed 2years ago!!!



    NET Stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC(University Grants Commission).
    NET is conducted twice in a year.
    -NET in June
    -NET in December

    Eligibility for NET::
    >You must have PG with min.55%

    >There are 2types of Posts in NET:-
    1)Lectureship post(LS)
    2)Junior Research Fellowship(JRF)

    >There is no upper age limit for "Lectureship post"

    >You must be within 28years for "Junior Research Fellowship"(5years age relaxation for SC/ST,BC and PH Candidates)

    >If you are in Final year of your PG also eligible to write NET.


    The Test is conducted in the following:
    - Humanities (including languages)
    - Social Sciences
    - Forensic Science
    - Environmental Sciences
    - Computer Science and Applications
    - Electronic Science


    Structure and Pattern of NET Exam::

    # It consists of 3Papers
    * Paper I
    * Paper II
    * Paper III
    # Both Paper I and Paper II are OBJECTIVE TYPE. Paper III is DESCRIPTIVE TYPE.
    # Paper I contains
    - General Knowledge
    - Current Affairs
    - Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Methods For (50 questions) – 100 Marks
    # Paper II contains
    - Your Core subject for (50 questions) - 100 Marks.
    # Paper III contains
    - Your core subject in PG and will have 4Sections.
    Section 1- 5x5= 25 marks (30 words)
    Section 2 –15x5=75 marks (30 words)
    Section 3- 5x12= 60 marks (200 words) and
    Section 4- 1x40= 40 marks(1000 words)
    Total for 400Marks.



    Important:
    • Paper I and II exams are conducted during Day time and Paper III will be conducted afeternoon on the Same day.
    • There is no negative marking for objective questions.


    Application Procedure for NET::

    -> You have to apply online before the specific date announced by UGC.

    -> Two print-outs of filled in online application form,exam attendance slip and admission card at the respective centers (with fee receipt and category certificates) are the documents required for applying to this exam.

    -> This will be of 450rs/- for General and 110 rs/- for SC/ST.

    -> You have to pay this through SBI Challan form Via Online.

    -> The last date for submission is on 25th October'2011

    Yes, You are eligible for NET/SET Examination because you have already completed your Master degree course !!

    NET Stands for National Eligiblity Test
    SET Stands for State Eligiblity Test.

    NET Examination conducted by UGC Twice in a year and the examination is conducted in June and December, The June NET Examination was already completed and If you are Interested then please apply for NET Examination soon before the Last. The last date of apply for NET Examination was 31/Oct/2011. So please fill the application form Soon Online, But before fill the application form, You have to Pay the fees of Rs 450 in SBI Bank and then you are eligible to fill Online application form, So please download the Challan form form the official website and then fill the application form.

    To apply for NET Examination, you have to complete your Post graduate degree course with Minimum 55% marks, Final year post graduate candidates are also apply for NET Examination. You can apply for Lectureship Post and Junior Research Fellowship Post, There is no age restrictions to apply for Lectureship. But for Junior Research fellowship Post your age should not be more than 28 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. The examination is Going to be held on 24/Dec/2011.

    The Eligiblity Criteria for SET Examination are same as NET Examination,. There is no restriction of age to apply for SET Examination, The last of SET Examination was already Over and the examination is Going to be held on 27/Nov/2011.

    For Both these examination you have to choose the subjects on the basis of Post graduation, Since you have completed your M.com course, then you can choose Commerce subject in NET Examination.

    There are 3 Papers in NET Examination and all are conducted in same day in 2 session, The examination was Objective as well as descriptive.     UGC conducts the NET exam and the State Government of each State conducts the SET exam.




    Eligibility criteria for NET and SET exam :


    The eligibility criteria for the NET exam:

    You must be a is a post graduation in any fields.

    The percentage requirement for the NET exam is 55% aggregate in the Masters’ course .

    Age Limit:

    You should not be aged above 28 years.

    Eligibility criteria For SET exam:

    The SET exam percentage requirement may vary within States.

    Most of the States require only 50% aggregate in the qualifying exam. Since you are a postgraduate , you are qualified to apply for the test.


    *Those who clear the NET exam can apply for the vacancies of lecturers in colleges or institutes within the country.

    *You can apply for lecture vacancies within the State through SET exam.

    *To appear for the NET exam the Post Graduation degree is a must from any recognized university.

    *But for the SET exam Graduation degree is enough.

    *With the NET the candidate can become a college lecturer whereas the SET qualified candidates can only go for the school level teaching.

    Since your a Post Graduate you can surely apply for the NET and SET exam.

    National Eligibility Test: NET:
