Yes, there are many Jobs for Computer Science Students in Indian Air Force.

After B.Tech in CSE, you need to appear for any of the Entrance Exams conducted for Air Force Rescruitments.

With this Qualification you can get into Indian Air Force.

The Entrance Exams for Indian Air Force after B.Tech are :


AFCAT -- Air Force Common Admission Test.

It is conducted for,

1. Flying Branch,
2. Technical Branch and
3. Ground Duty Branches in a single exam.

Flying Branch

Qualifications required are Bachelor’s degree in any subject area with 60% Marks from a recognized University or Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology of 4 years with 60% Marks.

You must be passed 12th Examination with Maths and Physics

Age Limit: Between 19 and 23 years as on 01/01/2013. Those candidates holding valid Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA will be relaxed in age upto 25 years

Physical Standard: (Male & Female) – Height – 162.5, with correlated weight Vision – 6/6 and 6/9

Technical Branch :

Qualifications required are Degree Qualifications of 4 years from a recognized University for AE (L) and AE (M).

Final year of 4 years Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor Technology from a recognized University for AE (L) and (M) UES-2013 Entry

And your Age must be in between 18 to 28 years as on 01/07/2013.

Physical Standard: Height (Men) – 157.5 cms, (Women) – 152 cms with correlated weight

Ground Duty Branches :

Qualifications required are Bachelor’s degree in any subject area with 60% Marks or PG Degree or equivalent diploma in any subject area with 50% Marks

And your Age must be in between 20 to 23, 20 to 25, 20 to 26 and 20 to 27 years as on 01/01/2013 as per Qualifications

Physical Standard: Height (Men) – 157.5 cms, (Women) – 152 cms with correlated weight


CDSE -- Combined Defence Services Examination.

The CDSE Exam is conducted for recruitment into :

Indian Military Academy
Indian Naval Academy
Air Force Academy
Officers Training Academy
Officers Training Academy

Every field has different eligibility levels.

For Indian Military Academy :-

You must be an Unmarried male candidates.

Age must be in between 18-23 years only.

Must have a Degree of a recognized university

For Indian Naval Academy :-

You must be an Unmarried male candidates.

Age must be in between 18-23 years only.

You must have a Degree in Engineering .

For Air Force Academy :-

Unmarried male candidates between 18-22 i.e born not earlier than 2nd July, 1989 and not later than 1st July, 1993 only are eligible .

Must have a Degree of a recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering .

If you are studying in final year degree course and have yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can apply for the examination.

For Officers' Training Academy :-

Male candidates (married or unmarried) between 18-24 years only are eligible .

Yes, you are very much eligible to do a job in Airforce after doing B.Tech CSE. After Exam & Interview they do take your medical check up but at least you can try. -2 eye sight is not an extremely drawback, you can join air force through AFCAT .Exam of AFCAT is will conduct in the month of December.For notification about this you should read the employment news paper or keep visiting the career section of official website of airforce.
