AMIE is equivalent to degree in industry when giving promotion. But you cannot sit in all exams. Some public sector limited companies require full Btech. In some exams AMIE is eligible. If you have good money resource in family then go for regular Btech.

Yes AMIE is equivalent to degree course. But you are not eligible for all engineering examinations in Govt Sector as a BTech holder, because in some cases some govt. sectors require full B.tech degree.

Yes, AMIE is considered equivalent to a BE degree. Infact if you consider the syllabus and time period it is tougher than BE.
You have to clear Section A consisting of fundamentals and then Section B where you can study your branch.
AMIE is recognized by central govt and in private sector as BE.
Also you can appear for IAS, IES exams by UPSC and also GATE for further studies like ME/MTech.
All the best for your future.

    Dear friend.
Associate Member of Institute of Engineers(AMIE) is a pioneer instutes providing non formal technical education in the field of education. It conducts exams twice a year called IE (I) and IE(II). These exams are also called summer or winter exams with the notification generally coming up in May/june or November/December.
Each exam consist of two sections:
    1. Section A: This exam is conducted for the candidates who want to become engineers through AMIE.
    2. Section B: This exam is conducted for the candidates who want to get disciplined in a particular area of engineering.

The duration of each exam is 3 hours. To be eligible for these exams one has to be an intermediate with physics, chemistry and mathematics aggregate of 45%.

Also Let me tell you that the AMIE degree is now considered equivalent to B.tech or B.E. And you can appear in the competitive exams like civil services, engineering services, GATE and for placement in the govt, public and private sector.
So you can very well appear in the IES exam conducted by UPSC.

    : :GOOD LUCK: :
