you are still eligible for engineering because your age is 23 years.there are many students who are pursuing b.tech at this age due to some reason.you will pursue engineering degree but you will get over age for many jobs and thus you will face a lot of problems.but an engineer has enough capabilities to find job if he has capabilities.here are some institute where you can apply for direct admission because you not eligible for any engineering entrance exam.

You are still eligible as your age is 23 and as per AIEEE(entrance examination for b.tech) eligibility criteria "candidates appearing for AIEEE should be less than 25 years of age on October 01 of the present year. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Physically Handicapped (PH) students are allowed a relaxation of 5 years and are eligible for the AIEEE exams up to 30 years of age".
So, go for preparations and practice previous year papers also to get idea about this examination.
