    Am I eligible to pursue M.Tech in Nanotechnology after completing B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering?

    People who do BE/B tech in Instrumentation engineering, are they eligible to peruse M Tech in Nanotechnology?

    Hello,

    Nano Technology is the field of Engineering where one studies at the behaviour of the materials at nano scale i.e (( 10^ (-9) ))
    One of the emerging fields of Nano technology is Nano electronics which is revolutionizing the world.
    Latest advancements and research programs are being carried out by many multi national companies.
    So electing for a masters program in this field shall be a wise decision.

    Electronics and instrumentation engineering covers up all the eligibility criteria to opt for M.Tech in Nano Technology.
    Presently in India this field isnt being to a resonably higher ends so i would personally recommend you to persue in foriegn countries for a very bright future.

    Hello friend !!

    Yes you are positively eligible .

    M'tech in Nano Technology :


    Nano Technology basically deals with the structures of the size 100 nanometers or smaller.

    This engineering branch also includes developing materials or devices within that size.

    It covers current work as well as concepts that are advanced.

    This branch can detect narcotics and fingerprints of suspects in crimes.

    It can also create canonized robots and repair damaged and diseased tissues.

    Duration : 2 years which again divided into 4 semesters.

    The Eligibility for M'tech in Nano Technology is like :

    B.Tech /B.E./M.Sc. with Phy./Chem./Bio Sc / Natural Sc./Electronic Sc. /Instrumentation / Mathematics or equivalent with a minimum of 60% as your aggregate.

    And also your aggregate in your 10 + 2 must be min 60% .

    Your age must be in between 21 - 29 years only.

    So as per these statements you are eligible for M'tech in Nano Tech even though if you are from Instrumentation Engineering in your B'tech.

    Also you must be Qualified in NET or GATE Entrance Exam.

    GATE : Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

    It is an all India level entrance exam which is administrated and conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IIS) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT).

    GATE Exam is usually held on the second Sunday of February every year.

    Exam Pattern :

    In this exam, one should have to appear in a single paper of 3 hours duration.
    The exam pattern of this exam is objective type with a total of 150 questions in this time period.
