Of course you are eligible for the B.Ed course. You will definitely get a government job. Indira Gandhi National Open University( IGNOU) is good to pursue the same.

    Sir/mam
yes you are eligible to do your B.ED at a age of 38 also but you are eligible for a goverment college or not depends on your previous qualification and experience which you have not posted.

You can complete your B.ED either from a open school or any private institue under a recognized universitty only. There is no issue regarding this. and you will definately get job in private institute.
But now the next problem is about your government job. Under sarv siksha abhiyan the quification is graduation plus B.ED but they have included the age factor of 28 also so you are not eligible under that but there is a chance in state level recruitment only if you clear NIT and if you have prior experience.

So the next step is yours to search for the eligibility. And do it before you opt for B.ED.

    BEST OF LUCK!

At the age of 38 year, you are eligible for B.Ed course, but after completion of the same your chances of getting job in Govt. School is very few.

As of now, there is no age limit specified for B.ed course. It is left open ended.

In order to start a career in Government schools it is necessary to write the state level or national level tests. The test organized for state level is named as STET or State Teacher Eligibility Test. The one for national level is named as NET or National Eligibility Test. After clearing the test one can join in any Government School as a teacher.

There are many Institutes which offer this course.
