    Am I eligible for NET examination while pursuing final year M.Sc Botany?

    Hi sir,
    i would like to enquire wether i can give my NET exmination which is to be held in december ? I doing my M.Sc final year in BOTANY and have secured 58.4% marks in my first year.

    Yes,you are eligible for NET exam.Here i am giving detail regarding NET eligiblity with this you will get complete information.

    NET stands for National Eligiblity Test

    This exam conduct by University Grant Commision for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) and for Lectruership.
    NET exam conduct two times every year in the month of June and December.

    Eligiblity Criteria..

    Qualification -- Candidate should complete postgraduate degree in any
    stream by recognised university with 55% marks.
    Those candidates who are pursuing Final year of PostGraduation can also apply for exam.

    Age -- Minimum age for this exam is 19 years and there is no upper age limit for Lecturership NET
    exam and for JRF exam maximum age limit is 28 years.
    Reserve category candidates get relaxation in upper age bar only for JRF exam.

    Notification for June and december exam comes in employment news or official website of ugc before 2 month of every exam.

    Exam will divide into three papers -- All three papers will be on objective questions.Negative marking will be there in the exam.

    you can apply for NET exam.

    marks should be 55% for gen
    50% for sc/st/obc/ph/vh

    For giving UGC NET u need to have a master Degree with 55% of marks. You can choose any subject from your master degree.UGC NET consists of three papers
    1) General studies (50 objective questions)
    2) Your optional paper (50 objective questions)
    3) Your optional paper (Subjective questions)

    For Junior Research Fellowship-max 28yrs.
    For lectureship-no upper age limit.

    Yes, You are eligible for NET exam.

    It requires master degree with recognized university.

    If you are in final then also you are eligible.

    The exam date is recently over.

    You will have to wait for December.

    ----THE eligibility criteria for NET exam are as follows:

    ----if you have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master's Degree examination and your result is still awaited or your qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test.

    hence you are eligible to give NET examination while pursuing final year M.sc botany.

    note:if your overall percentage in master 's degree is less than 55% then your are not eligible.

    You should score 50% marks in aggregate in the PG level . The final year post graduates are eligible to attend this exam. But they will be admitted provisionally only. They will be considered for the post of lecturer only after completing the post-graduation with the specified percentage of marks.

    No , Perusing candidate from masters degree are not applicable for NET exam .So after completion of your M.Sc in Botany degree you are applicable for NET exam.

    NET stands for National Eligibility Test , which is conducted by twice time in a year in the month of June and December.

    If you have completed Post-Graduation degree from recognized university with above 55% marks then you are applicable for NET exam.Marks relaxation is provide only for Sc/ST category.

    In NET exam there is no age criteria but if you want to apply for JRF post then the maximum age criteria is 28 years old.

    From this year NET exam pattern is fully objective.

    You can apply in NET examination only after completing the your M.Sc Botany.

    You are not seems eligible for December Examination but you can apply in June NET examination.

    This National Eligibility Test is conduct twice a year by UGC.

    This examination is conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship and Lecturer ship.

    Minimum Eligibility For applying in NET examination

    • Post Graduate degree in any discipline from recognized university
    • Minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation.

    The exam consist three papers,


    Paper I
    General knowledge
    Current affairs
    Aptitude and reasoning

    (It is of 100 marks papers ).

    Paper II

    Core subjects

    (It carries 100 marks)

    Paper III

    Selected core subjects

    (It carries 200 marks)

    (Total marks the paper carries is 400 marks)

    Hi Friend

    Yes, you can appear for the UGC NET when you are pursuing the final year of the courseUniversity Grants Commission ( National Educational Testing ) Bureau conducts the common entrance examination.

    Conditions of eligibility :

    Education :

    you have secured at least 55% marks in Master's Degree or Equivalent examination from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities ( including languages ) and Social Sciences, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc.

    for SC/ST/PH/VH category candidates shall have to get minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

    If you are appearing the Final year of the Master's Degree also you can apply for the test, and considered for the award of the JRF / Lectureship, eligible only after passed the Master Degree.

    you have to appear for the test in the subject that you have opted in your P.G level only and if your stream is not mentioned then you can go for applying the related stream for NET.

    Age :

    1. Junior Research Fellowship : you must not have more than 28 years as on 1st June every year and there is any age limit up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH/VH and Women candidates, relaxation is provided for research candidates also.

    2. Lectureship : There is no upper age limit for applying the post.

    The NET comprises of 3 papers in Objective form and you have to get the minimum marks in each paper as per your reservation criteria mentioned in the notification.

    Yes You are eligible for NET .

    NET exam require minimum Post graduation from recognized university.

    If you are in final Year then also you are eligible.

    NET exam is conducted by UGC twice year.

    The exam application of June is recently over
    you will have to wait for December.

    Yes definitely you are eligible for the test if you are in the final year M.Sc Botany last semister.

    University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) every year.It is conducted to determine eligibility of entrants for lectureship or to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
    It is conducted twice a year i. e; during the month of June and December.
    The notification regarding the exam will be published through employment newspapers during March and September respectively.

    Eligibility criteria :
    >You must have completed Post Graduation in the desired subject.

    Syllabus for NET Exam

    NET exam consists of 3 sections, 2 objective sections and 1 descriptive section. Paper I is common for all subject candidates and will mainly consists of questions from

    General Knowledge
    Current Affairs

    Structure and Pattern of NET Exam::

    # It consists of 3Papers
    * Paper I

    Application Procedure for NET:

    You have to apply online before the specific date announced by UGC.

    Two print-outs of filled in online application form,exam attendance slip and admission card at the respective centers (with fee receipt and category certificates) are the documents required for applying to this exam.

    This will be of 450rs/- for General and 110 rs/- for SC/ST.

    You have to pay this through SBI Challan form Via Online.

    Yes you can appear to NET examination .
    Final year candidates of post graduation degree course also eligible for writing NET examination .
    UGC conducts the NET examination every years .
    The purpose of conducting NET examination is to recruit the candidates to lecterurs and Ph.d. Candidates to top colleges of India .NET examination is conducted twice in a year in the moth of June and December .
    Notifications were updated on UGC website .

    Educational qualifiction required :
    The candidates must have 55 % in Post graduation programme .
    And 5 % is relaxable for Sc/St candidates .
    Less than 55 % are not eligible .

    Age :
    for lecterurship post : no upper age specified .
    For JRF : 28 years is maximum age limit .
