    Am I eligible for NET exam while pursuing 2nd year MCA?

    hello
    I am doing MCA 2nd year, i wants to know if i am eligible to write net exams and also how to apply for exams

    You are MCA 2nd years so you are applicable for NET Exam.

    NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conduct twice time in year by UGC.This test will be conduct for only lectureship , PHD and JRF .

    Those candidate have completed masters degree with above 55% from recognized university are eligible for NET exam but their is also some marks criteria.

    Age criteria=>

    JRF = Maximum 28 years old.
    Lectureship/PHD = No age criteria .

    Now NET papers are fully objective type with no negative marking .But there is sectional and overall cut off so please prepare all 3 papers equally .

    dear NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST is conducted by the university grants commission(UGC).National Eligibility Test (NET) is the national level entrance examination conducted for postgraduate students .as you are pursuing MCA in 2nd year you are not eligible for this exam , you have to complete three years of course with 55% of marks to get eligible if you are in your final year and you are waiting for the result than also you are eligible to write this exam.

    age limit
    lectureship NET:
    you must have 19 years to get eligible and there is no upper age limit.
    JR F(junior research fellowship) NET:
    you must have 19 years and maximum to 28 years to get eligible

    the exam consists of three papers in two separate sessions as under:
    first session consists of two papers
    paper-1 carries 100 marks and you have to get
    • 40% of marks if you are belong to the general candidate,
    • 35% of marks if you are belong to the OBC CANDIDATE,
    • 35% of marks if you are belong to the PH/VH/SC/ST CANDIDATE,
    paper-2 carries 100 marks and you have to get
    • 40% of marks if you are belong to the general candidate,
    • 35% of marks if you are belong to the OBC CANDIDATE,
    • 35% of marks if you are belong to the PH/VH/SC/ST CANDIDATE,
    paper-3 carries 150 marks and you have to get
    • 50% of marks if you are belong to the general candidate,
    • 45% of marks if you are belong to the OBC CANDIDATE,
    • 40% of marks if you are belong to the PH/VH/SC/ST CANDIDATE,
    how to apply
    you can apply by downloading teh bank challen from in triplicate (bank copy,
    ugc copy,
    and candidates copy from teh UGC website than you have to deposit the test fees in branch of state bank of india with bank charges rs.20.

    application fees cost
    • if you are belong to the general candidate than you have to pay rs.450.
    • if you are belong to the OBC CANDIDATE than you have to pay rs.225
    • if you are belong to the PH/VH/SC/ST CANDIDATE than you have to pay rs.110
    important dates
    • you have the option to pay the charges from 15TH march to 5 April through challan .
    • Last date for sending the print out to UGC is 15th of April.
    • the exam is conducted on 26th June 2013.

    You can apply for NET exam and here are some requirements-
    1)minimum 55% in final year for general nd OBC
    2)50% For SC/ST
    3)age limit-28 years
    4)post graduation from a recognized university

    UGC every year two times conducts the NET examination in the month of June and December.

    The Post graduation completd or Final year of PG course candidate are allowed to paper for NET exam.

    Education qualification :
    PG with minimum 55 %.
    Less than above are not allowed to appear in examination.

    You can visit to UGC website to know the details about examination.

    The notifications were available at UGC website.

    The exam is conducted for :
    JRF and Lectruership post.

    You have to file the form online from UGC website.
    And pay fees through Bank challan.
