    Am I eligible for NET Exam after completing M.Sc in Environmental Science in distance mode from Vidyasagar University?

    Am i eligible for Net exam if i have done M.sc (Environmental Science) in Distance mode from Vidyasagar university?

    NET Stands for National Eligiblity test and This examination was Conducted by UGC Twice in a year - June and December. The June NET was Already completed and December NET Examination Notification was Not yet Published.

    >> To apply for NET Examination you need to complete your Post graduation degree course from a recognised university and you must have scored minimum 55% marks in your Post Graduation.

    >> Final year Post-Graduate candidates are also eligible to apply for NET Examination. So, In the official website it not mentioned that only regular candidates are eligible , so dont worry, you are eligible for NET Examination. If you have completed your [Post Graduation degree course through Distance education mode and If your University was recognised by UGC then you are eligible for NET Examination.

    >> The examination fees of NET was Rs 450 and candidates may apply for NET examination Online by visit the UPSC website, But before fill the online application form you need to pay the application form Fees through challan in any SBI Branch and then you are eligible to fill the online application form.

    >> So, If you are Interested in UGC NET Examination then please apply for December NET Examination, The Notification of December NET Examination was Published soon in the Month of September 2011.

    >> Candidates may apply for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship Programme, For lectureship post there is no upper age restriction But for JRF your age should not be more than 28 years.

    Yes,you are eligible for NET exam.
    The eligibility for NET is as follows:
    -Masters degree with at least 55% marks.
    -Age limit: 1)Junior Research Fellowship: max 28yrs.
    2)Lectureship: no upper age limit.

    As you have completed your masters degree you are eligible.But you should have at least 55% marks.

    As completion of your M.Sc you are eligible for NET exam.

    NET stranded for National eligibility test.
    These NET exam will contain 2 phases
    -Junior research fellowship(JRF)
    -Lecture ship
    UGC will conduct the NET in 78 subjects.
    The candidates who qualify for the award of JRF are eligible to purse the research in post graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for lecture ship.

    Eligibility for JRF:
    Age:Not more than 28 years.
    Relaxation up to 5 years.
    For L.L.M degree candidates age relaxation is up to 3 years.
    There is no upper age limit for Lectureship.

    The candidate who have secured at least 55% of marks in Master's Degree or equivalent examination from institutions recognized by UGC humanities and social sciences,computer sciences and applications ,electronic science etc...
    Minimum percentage for ST/SC/PH/VH candidates is 50%.

    yes,you are eligible for the NET exams and The UGC NET EXAMINATION is conducted by the University Grants Commission.

    The UGC(NET) Test is coducted to find the eligible candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships and for appointment of Lecturers in Universities and colleges in the subjects falling in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences.

    The UGC (NET) Humanities Test consists of 3 papers.

    Paper-I

    1.aIt consists of 50 objective type questions designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension and divergent thinking of the candidate.

    1.bTotal Marks of Paper-I will be 100.

    Paper-II

    2.aIt consists of 50 objective type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.

    2.b Total Marks of Paper-II will be 100.

    Paper-III - consists of four sections

    Section - 1: Five questions will be asked on this passage requiring an answer upto 30 words. It shall carry 25 marks.

    Section - 2: Fifteen questions will be asked on the syllabus of Paper-III(A).
    Each question will carry 5 marks.

    Section - 3: Each question will be answered in up to 200 words and shall carry 12marks (5X12=60 marks).

    Section - 4:
    Essay writing : The question will be answered in 1000words and shall carry 40 marks.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR NET IS:


    1)You must have secured at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST) in Masters Degree or equivalent examination in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences,Computer Applications, Electronic Sciences etc. are eligible for this test.

    2)If you are in the final year of the degree then also you are eligible for the NET exam.

    3)If you are a Ph.D. degree holders whose Master's level examination was completed by 19th September, 1991(irrespective of date of declaration of result) is eligible for relaxation of 5% of marks (i.e from 55% to 50%) to appear in NET Examination.

    AGE LIMIT:

    a) For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):

    You should be of 28 years for December / June Exam of the corresponding year and a relaxation of
    up to 5 years if you belong to reserved categories SC/ST/OBC,physically handicapped and women applicants.

    b) For Lecturership: There is no upper age limit.

    I have completed b.Sc. Hons. In Mathmetics with 51.5% marks. And i have done ms.C in environmental science with 62% marks. Am i ellgible for net exam?
