Eligibility norm for the Merchant Navy:-

1)Candidate should have Indian nationality.

2)Their age must be between 18-42 yrs on 25.02.11

3)should have Graduate from any recognize university.

4)The employed person who is working in central govt. /own business/private sector/semi govt. must have Pay and allowances and privileges.


For Merchant Navy the Selection Procedure:-

1. Preliminary Interview Boards held at respective TA Group Headquarters .

2. SSB Interview

3. Medical & Police Verification.

Require qualifications for merchant navy:

Nationality:Indian
Educational qualification:You have to done your 10+2 with MPC,and the 60% aggregate in any recognized board.
Age:Your age should in between 17-21 years.

You have to fit mentally physically and medically fit.

You have to maintain the good eyesight 6/6 with out visual aid and not color blind for navigating officer cadet.
Not color blind.visual aid with limitations up to 6/9 for marine engineering officer cadet.

So you are not eligible for merchant navy.If you have really interest on merchant navy then.don't worry you have to make the laser surgery....after that you are eligible for merchant navy.
