Before going to Merchant Navy you want to passed exam and training after at the join and some eligibility also necessary
1.this are your age should be less than 19 years .
2.You must be passed higher sec. with math .
3. you must be Indian .
4. You can also join government and private colleges for training .
5. Indian government is now increasing 1.5 lakhs Merchant Navy officers in next three years.
6. salary is started from 18000 that can be 8 lakh after some time if you do hard work at your post.
7. there are different course like engineering of four years and six month course ,12 month course , and two years course also available .

As you didn't have Maths as a subject, you are not eligible for most of the posts/exams , but still you can apply for the Indian Navy Sailors (Direct Entry) exam.[/COLOR]
The eligibility criterion for the exam is given below.

NATIONALITY-
Indian Citizenship.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION NEEDED-
One needs to have completed 12th from a recognized board or University with minimum 55% marks.
Commerce and Arts students are also eligible for the exam.

MARITAL STATUS AND GENDER-
One should be unmarried male.

AGE REQUIREMENT-
only those in the age group of 17-20 years are allowed to appear for the exam.

education qualification:-
if you want to enter the navigational and engineering fields of merchant navy than you need to complete a bachelors degree in nautical science and marine engineering before to gain the admission in the field,
you have to pass the 10+2 to be eligible for the nautical science and marine engineering,
you have to pass the medical fitness test for the sea service under standard norms with eyesight 6/6 with no color blindness .
direct entry into the merchant navy:-
if you have completed the 10+2 with the subjects physics, chemistry, and mathematics than you are eligible to join as desk cadets and if you are holding the bachelors degree in mechanical,

N.D.A - Stands for National Defense Academy. This examination is conducted by the Union public service commission (UPSC) twice in a year.

As my knowledge there are some basic and important eligibility criteria are described below-

AGE: - Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

NOTE: - Only unmarried males are eligible.

Educational Qualification : - candidates must passed 10+12th with Physics and Maths and have to minimal 60% in 10th.

NOTE : - Candidates must be physically and medically fit for the N.D.A test.

Tips for preparation :

- you can study for the NCERT book for the mathematics or physics or chemistry & both the History.

You can easily apply for merchant navy after completion of 12th examination.
you can join merchant Navy after 12th standard with PCM.To join merchant Navy you have to do
Pre-sea(panama) and Pre-sea(liberian) courses.
Age limit: 17 to 25 years
jobs course in the merchant Navy:

1.Nauticalscience engineering(3 years(
2.Marine engineering(3 years)
3.Diploma course(2 years)

The minimum requirement for joining the merchant navy as a deck cadet is candidate should have passed 12 months,which is offered by various institutes across India.

The minimum requirement for which is the candidate must have passed class 12 (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate or some institutes also have 55% as minimum requirement.

Duration of full training is 12 months,and the course fees varies from institutes to institutes.however inticatively it will cost at least 70,000 for one year only course fees.

However,private institutes can demand anything between 1,20,000 - 1,50,000.
