    Am I eligible for IES exam after completing B.Tech CSE? If Not, What are the other Govt Service jobs for same Graduation level?

    about upsc examination

    my query is that i want to know that whether a computer science graduate is elligible for ies exam or not?and alsa there is any other government services for the same graduation level?...plz tell me this as soon as possible.plz

    yes my friend u are eligible to apply for IES as the minimum eligibility fir the IES is that u should have a bachelor's degree in any field of engineering and u have got ur degree so u are eligible to apply for this exam...

    also u must fulfill the age criteria as it stated that:must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1981 and not later than 1st August, 1990...

    frankly speaking after doing B.tech by Cs you cannot sit for IES exam.moreover there is no good government job from this branch

    eligible for IES exam after completing B.Tech CSE
    IES Exam-2011 Dates:
    IES Exam-2011 Notification: 8th January, 2011 (Saturday)
    IES Exam-2011 last date of form receipt: 7th February, 2011 (Monday).
    IES Exam-2011 Written Exam date: 4th June, 2011 (Saturday)

    By following above logics, you can find the exam dates for future IES exams like IES-2012/2013 etc. Nearer this time, check this UPSC website for the IES exam notification.


    --Age Eligibility:

    You need to be between 21 years to 30 years on the 1st August of the year of examination. For example, for IES-2010, you should be born not earlier than 2nd August, 1980 and not later than 1st August, 1989.

    (a) A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the Ist August, 2011 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1981 and not later than 1st August, 1990.


    (b) The upper agelimit of 30 years will be relaxable upto 35 years in the case of Government Servants of the following categories, if they are employed in a Department/Office under the control of any of the authorities mentioned in column 1 below and apply for admission to the examination for all or any of the Service(s)/ Post(s) mentioned in column 2, for which they are otherwise eligible.


    (i) A candidate who holds substantively a permanent post in the particular Department/Office concerned. This relaxation will not be admissible to a probationer appointed against a permanent post in the Department/Office during the period of his probation.
    (a) A candidate for this examination musthave attained the age of 21 years and mustnot have attained the age of 30 years onthe Ist August, 2011 i.e. he/she must havebeen born not earlier than 2nd August,1981 and not later than 1st August, 1990.

    (b) The upper agelimit of 30 years will berelaxable upto 35 years in the case ofGovernment Servants of the followingcategories, if they are employed in aDepartment/Office under the control of anyof the authorities mentioned in column 1below and apply for admission to theexamination for all or any of the Service(s)/Post(s) mentioned in column 2, for whichthey are otherwise eligible.

    yes.you are eligible to apply for the IES after completing th B.tech CSE.
    the eligibility of IES is given bellow :
    *candidate should be indian citizen
    *age limit : 21 to 30 year.3 year relaxation available for backward class.
    *candidate should have minimum qualification of bachlor degree in engineering.
    *Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Engineering Services Examination.

    if you satisfy the above condition ,then you are eligible for IES exam.
    IES is the indian engineering service exam.
    A combined competitive examination is conducted by the UPSC for recruitment to the Indian Engineering Services (IES). Recruitment on the results of this examination will be made to the Services/posts under the following categories
    Category I—Civil Engineering.
    Category II—Mechanical Engineering.
    Category III—Electrical Engineering.
    Category IV—Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

    Hi,

    The following branch students are only eligible.

    --Electronics & communication engineering.
    --Electrical engineering.
    --Civil engineering.
    --Mechanical engineering.

    There are other career options for you.

    --You can continue your studies in M.Tech(By GATE) or M.B.A.(By CAT,MAT,XAT,GRE)
    --You can also go for jobs in software industry.
    --You can also go in public sector or govt. jobs(regularly visit http://www.upsc.gov.in for PSU)

    yes, you are very much eligible for ies examination.for the same graduation level you can go for INDIA AIR FORCE, IPS, IAS, NAVY.

    Yes
    you are eligible for the IES exam with the B.tech(CS). But you are also eligible for the ITS (Indian Telecom Service) exam complete the B.tech. You are eligible for the all national level exams. such as IAS, IPS which conducted by any body or union public service commission or any board of examination. You can try in the railway (Indian railway service) which is conducted by the upsc.

    Yes you can apply for IAS and IES exam.You can register online by going in this website.http://www.upsc.gov.in/.
    I am attaching the notification for this exams.You can read it carefully.The last date of registration is on 7th February.

    for more information about these exam is given by following:

    the eligibility criterion for IAS examination is graduation degree in any discipline from any recognized university. so after completion of your graduation degree in computer science engineering you will be eligible for IAS examination. but your age must be in Between 21 to 30 if you belongs to general category and also you have o fulfill other eligibility criterion like you must have Indian Citizen ship etc. for reserved candidate there are relaxation as per government rules.


    for IES(Indian Engineering Services) the eligible four branch of engineering are

    Civil Engineering
    Mechanical Engineering
    Electrical Engineering
    Electronics & telecommunication Engineering


    so as you are from computer science engineering branch so you are not eligible for IES examination.

    yes, prinyanka you are eligible for ies exam after graduate from cs, but you have very little and less options for gov. jobs.

    IES (Engineering services Exam) Eligiblity -

    IES Examination was conducted by UPSC every year and to apply for this examination you need to complete your Graduation degree course in Engineering and after completing Engineering degree course you are eligible for IES Examination.

    So, You Must Have possessing a degree in Engineering in any discipline then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination But to apply for this examination Your age should between 21 to 30 years, The Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC and Other reserved Category Candidates.

    The Examination was generally held in the month of May and the notification was published in the employment newspaper or in the UPSC website in the month of January every year, Eligible candidates may fill the application form Online By visit the UPSC website.

    General candidates will gets only 4 attempts in this examination, 7 for OBC and No limits for SC, ST candidates. But you have to choose the optional subject in IES examination only from CIVIL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING. The syllabus are availiable in the UPSC Official website.

    After Completing your Graduation degree course you are also eligible to apply fro CDS Examination as well as UPSC Civil services examination and to become IAS/IPS officer you need to apply for Civil services examination and for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years, The notification of this examination was published in the Month of February Every year.

    You are also eligible for CDS Examination and CDS Examination are also conducted by UPSC Two times in a year and after graduation you are eligible for CDS Examination, The detailed information are availiable in the UPSC website or also in the Given Notification -

    The minimum eligibility for ies is degree graduation in engineering from any recognised university. Age limit is 21 to 30years. After that you have a great and good future. You write upsc exam for ies . It conducts every year

    you are eligible for the IES exam with the B.tech(CS). But you are also eligible for the ITS (Indian Telecom Service) exam complete the B.tech. You are eligible for the all national level exams. such as IAS, IPS which conducted by any body or union public service commission or any board of examination. You can try in the railway (Indian railway service) which is conducted by the upsc.

    Yes off course you are eligible for IES(Indian economic services) exams after completing your B.Tech CSE.
    Actually the minimum qualification that is required in order to appear for CSE(Civil services exam) is graduation from
    a recognized university from whatever discipline.Another thing which can be noted in this regard is that there is
    no minimum percentage which should be obtained by a students desirous of appearing in this exam.In other words you should have
    just qualified your graduation in order to appear for the same.As far as other government exams are concerned
    you can appear for various exams for example- IBPS(For the purpose of getting jobs in banks), defense sector (for example
    CDS, SSC, etc).

    2. Navy

    Public Sector Jobs:

    BSNL will be conducting an exam for the posts of JTO and TTA .There will be an entrance examination conducted for these posts and followed by the Interview of the successful students who got through the written examination.The examination is held once in 2 years.

    BARC will be conducting an examination for scientific and technical officers who have completed their graduation. An entrance examination will be conducted from which only a few of the selected candidates are taken in after the interview.

    Apart from the above mentioned companies there are various other companies BHEL, DRDO, ECIL, ISRO, etc.

    Bank Jobs:

    IT post in Banks :: Not only in public sector but also Computer science can get into the Banks routes as well. Different banks recruit students for the IT post . The main work of the IT officer in the Banks is System maintenance. The central bank of India is one such bank that conducts the entrance examination for the IT post in their bank.

    PO post in Banks :: There are numerous banks that recruit students as probationary Officers in their banks. Students from all the branches are eligible to apply for this post.

    Civil Services Jobs:

    Graduates are also having an option to apply for group II examination which is held by central government every year. they can choose between 3 major services i.e

    1. IAS (Indian Administrative Service)
    2. IPS (Indian Police Services)
    3. IFS (Indian Forest Services)

    No,you are not eligible for Indian Engineering Service exam.Only the candidate who have completed B.Tech in any one of course mentioned below can eligible for the IES exam.

    And his age should also be between 21 to 30 years.

    You are not eligible for IES exams because you are from CSE background. And computer students are not allowed for these exams. You can write UPSC conducting exams (only few like IAS,IPS,IFS etc). Here are the details.

    IES stands for Indian Engineering Services and only the following branch students are eligible for IES.

    Civil Engineering
    Mechanical Engg.
    Electrical Engg.
    Electronics and Tele communication Engg.

    So, you are not eligible for IES. You can write civil services.

    Eligibility criteria for civil services like IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc::

    You should have a degree, it can be any degree be it 3 year or 4years like yours (BTech)
    You must be a citizen of India.

    Age limits:
    You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

    Normally CSE students have very less openings in government sector ,and the question pattern of the IES is based on the
    syllabus related to the subjects like electronics,electrical etc
