    Am I eligible for IES exam after completing B.E(Chemical Engineering)?

    Eligibility for Indian engineering services.
    I am BE chemical candidate. Is there possibility to me eligible for IES exams.

    Hello friend,

    IES stands for Indian engineering services.

    All the engineering students irrespective of their branches are eligible to take IES exams.

    Its a good decision to do IES after the completion of BE in Chemical engineering.IES enables you to get some of the prestigious and top positions in government sectors.So that you can enjoy the facilities provided to you by the government and also the remuneration provided for IES officers is also high.So I would suggest you to work hard and qualify in the IES exams conducted in national level.

    As the competition will be high you really need to work hard for clearing the exam
    .

    Eligibility for IES


    1.You should have completed Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent courses,M.Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject also acceptable for certain posts.
    2.You should be 21-30 years while applying for the exam
    3.You should have minimum of 50% aggregate to apply for the exam


    Examination pattern


    The exam consists of 2 parts

    PART 1
    PART 2

    Part 1 consists of 2 sections

    SECTION 1
    SECTION 2

    Section 1 consists of objective type technical questions related to your subject while section 2 consists of conventional type technical questions

    Part 2 consists of personality test

    Eligibility ::

    AGE - 21 to 30 years as on 1st august of the year of exam.There has been an age relaxation upto 3 years for OBC candidate and 5 years for Sc/ST candidate.

    Educational Qualification - Engineering degree or equivalent degree from a recognized university.

    Fee : Rs 100


    The result of IES examination will be available on the official website of UPSC when it will be released.

    Result of I.E.S Exam 2011 has not yet been Declared. . .

    Hi friend

    I am sorry to say that a chemical engineering student isnt eligible for IES exam.

    IES-Indian engineering services exam is conducted every year by UPSC for recruitment of engineers.

    The engineers are selected from the fields:

    1.Mechanical
    2.Civil
    3.Electrical
    4.Electronics and Communication


    Number of attempts possible:

    1.Open category- 4

    2.OBC-7

    3.SC/ST- 9


    Eligibility:

    1.An Engineering graduation in civil , mech ,eee, ece .
    Just a pass is enough.

    2.if you are a Msc graduate in Radio physics , telecommunication , electronics you are also eligible.

    3.Minimum age : 20
    Maximum age:30

    DATES:

    1.Submission of applications: febraury 17 is the last day.

    2.Exam : May 14

    NO ,you are NOT eligible follow information;..

    IES i.e Indian Engineering Service :

    This is conducted by the union public service commission every year under the civil services exams and for this exam the selection processor is based on the written test followed by the personal interview.

    If you want to write written test ,required educational qualifications are you must completed the graduation in following any one of the field;..
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Civil Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics and Communication Engineering
    And required age limit for this exam is 21-30 years fir general category candidates and 5 years age relaxation for the SC/ST category candidates and 3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidates.

    So ,above mention information you are completing the graduation in the Chemical Engineering field,then you are not eligible.

    Yes , You are applicable for IES exam but you can choose below mentioned subjects.

    If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

    1.Civil Engineering
    2.Electrical Engineering
    3.Mechanical engineering.
    4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

    If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.

    The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

    Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

    Number of attempts for IES exam is for general student it is 4., for OBC it is 7 times. and for SC/ST it is 9 time.

    Sorry to tell you but you are not eligible for the IES Exam after Completing your B-E Course in Chemical Engineering.

    Indian Engineering Service



    IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service and the exam is conducted to recruit candidates in various Governmental Organizations. The exam is Conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission Board) .

    Eligibility criteria:

    You Should be citizen of India.
    You Should be Graduate in either Engineering/Technology from any one of the following streams:

    Mechanical Engineering
    Civil Engineering
    Electrical Engineering
    Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

    Your age must be 21 years and must not be more than 30 years.
    Upper age relaxations applicable for SC/ST(5 years) and OBC(3 years) Candidates.

    A general Category Candidate can attempt 4 times.
    An OBC Can Attempt 7 times.
    SC/ST candidates do not have any limits.

    Syllabus:





    As of 2012 the Important dates of the exam:

    The notifications about the exam: 25th February 2012

    The last date to apply for the exam: 26th March 2012

    Written exam date: 20th June 2012

    Hi dude,

    IES stands for Indian Engineering Services.

    To apply for this exam you nee to complete your graduation in engineering !You need to be citizen of India .You can also apply for this exam if you are in the final year of your engineering graduation.Your age need to be between 21 to 30 year`s.

    Age relaxation is only for reservation category students.You need to be mentally and physically fit .

    No,you are not eligible for Indian Engineering Service.To eligible for Indian Engineering Service exam,you should have complete minimum B.Tech course from any one branch mentioned below.
    >>Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering
    >>Mechanical Engineering
    >>Civil Engineering
    >>Electrical Engineering
    And your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    As you have completed B.Tech from Chemical Engineering,that's why you are not eligible for IES exam.

    No, you are not eligible for IES exam being a student of chemical engineering. IES exam is meant only for 4 branches. They are:

    >>Electrical Engineering

    >>Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

    >>Mechanical Engineering

    >>Civil Engineering

    Only the students from above streams are eligible for IES exam. So, you are not eligible for this exam.

    Eligibility criteria:

    A degree from above mentioned 4 streams

    Age limits:

    21-30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination.

    upto 35 years for SC/ST

    upto 33 years for OBC

    You can write the govt.post exams like civil services which include IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc by having your degree.

    There are multiple exams conducted by UPSC every year along with IES. So, don't worry about this. You can write various govt. services

    IES stands for Indian Engineering Services Examination and this examination is Conducted by UPSC, Every year for the recruitment of these Services :

    ~~ Civil Engineering
    ~~ Mechanical Engineering
    ~~ Electrical Engineering
    ~~ Electronics & telecommunication Engineering

    To apply for this examination you have to complete your Engineering graduate degree course from a recognised University. If you have from these given disciplines then you have not faced any problem to cracked this examination, but you have to work hard because the examination was not easy. To apply for IES Examination you have to attained the age of 21 years and not attained the age of 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    You have no need to scored any minimum percentage in your Graduation because any graduate passed candidates are eligible for UPSC IES Examination.

    The selection will be based on Written Examination and it will comprise of two sections :

    Section I : Consisting only of objective types of questions and
    Section II of conventional papers.

    Those who cracked the Written test are eligible for Personal Interview/Personality test, Personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the basis of the written examination.

    If you have already Completed your Engineering degree course then you are eligible for this year IES Examination.

    The Notification of IES Examination will be Published soon on 25/Feb/2012 and the last date of apply for this examination 26/March/2012

    The examination will be held on 15/June/2012.

    The Notification will be Published in the Employment newspaper OR in the Leading Newspapers. You have to fill the application form "Online" Only Because all UPSC Application form will be Filled Online Only from this year, There is no Offline application form Facility from this year Onward's.

    As the Eligibility for IES is-

    i am a power enineer graduate frm npti nagpur should i applicable for IES exam m a st categary student n since i was 3 times fails in engg bt rgt nw i hav completed power engg so is ther any other creteria for failures for ies
    by d way m a power engg graduate nw so plz tel is there any affect of 3 times fails in engg degre or nt
    bt nw m a engg graduate in npti power engg so plz suggest me plzzz
