    Am I eligible for IES Entrance exam if I completed B.Tech in UGC approved but not AICTE Approved?

    i have done b.tech from a college which is UGC approved bt not AICTE approved.
    my question is that am i eligible to give IES civil examination?

    Yes, you are eligible. No Problem.
    You only electrical , civil & mechanical engineers are eligible for this exam.
    Also , you must be of atleast 21 yr old.

    The exam is conducted by UPSC for selecting engineers for Indian engineering organizations which deals with the branches like Civil,Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

    IES Exam 2011 Important dates:

    Date of notification: 25th December, 2010.

    Last date for receipt of IES 2011 forms: 24.01.2011 (Mon).

    Date of IES 2011 exam: 14.05.2011


    The candidates must be eligible for writing the IES exam.The eligibility criteria for writing this exam are,

    Eligibility:

    The candidate must have age limit of 21-30 years.
    The candidate must have a degree from a recognized university.
    The candidates who are writing their final degree exam are eligible to apply for IES exam.

    The candidates can apply for the exam either online or offline.

    The candidates can fill up the form online at the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in

    While in the other case the candidate can fill the form offline.The forms will be available in the post offices where UPSC forms are issued.The form will be costing around Rs20/-.

    Yes, You are eligible, Becaue your college is approved by UGC, If any college is approved by UGC, then there is no need for AICTE Approval.
    So, After b.tech from UGC approved colleges, you are eligible to apply for IES examination. And to appear in IES examination, your age should between 21 to 30 years.

    Final Year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination, The notification are published in the employment newspaper or in the official website
    of UPSC, So please dont worry, you can apply for IES examination.

    HII THERE IS NO RESTICTIONS THAT YOU NEED TO FROM THE AICTE.BUT YOU NEED TO HAVE BACHELORS DEGREE,FROM ANY OF THE BRANCHES.IES EXAM IS CONDUCTED BY THE EVERY YEAR BY UPSC.IES 2011 IS OVER YOU SHOULD APPLY IN 2012.BUT YOU NEED TO MINIMUM OF 50% MARKS IN B.E/B.TECH.YOU WILL GET GOOD SALARY RANGING FROM 25000 UPTO 50000.WITH ALL GOOD NECESSARY FACILITIES.

    Yes,you are eligible IES Entrance exam.
    An equivalent degree shall be good enough for eligibility to IES exam even your degree of B.tech shall be sufficient for now.

    IES Exam-2011 Dates:
    IES Exam-2011 Notification: 8th January, 2011 (Saturday)
    IES Exam-2011 last date of form receipt: 7th February, 2011 (Monday).
    IES Exam-2011 Written Exam date: 4th June, 2011 (Saturday)

    By following above logics, you can find the exam dates for future IES exams like IES-2012/2013 etc. Nearer this time, check this UPSC website for the IES exam notification.


    --Age Eligibility:

    You need to be between 21 years to 30 years on the 1st August of the year of examination. For example, for IES-2010, you should be born not earlier than 2nd August, 1980 and not later than 1st August, 1989.

    (a) A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the Ist August, 2011 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1981 and not later than 1st August, 1990.


    (b) The upper agelimit of 30 years will be relaxable upto 35 years in the case of Government Servants of the following categories, if they are employed in a Department/Office under the control of any of the authorities mentioned in column 1 below and apply for admission to the examination for all or any of the Service(s)/ Post(s) mentioned in column 2, for which they are otherwise eligible.

    dear friend,

    for any engineering college it is very essential to be approved by AICTE.

    without approval of AICTE there is no any recognition of degree.so at first be sure that your college is AICTE approved or not.

    never take in such engineering college which is not approved by the AICTE.

    yes, you can do ME in VLSI. it has very good scope.

    yes you are eligible for the IES exam , because you have a degree in b.tec from a UGC approved college
    the minimum eligibility for the entrance exam is to attain the age of 21
    the candidate who are in final year can attend for the exam ,
    the candidate can apply for the exam in online or offline ,
    the exam is too tough and competitive so you have to prepare very well to appear for the exam ,

    Yes, You are eligible for giving IES exmaination. To appear in IES exam candidate must have passed graduation or in finaly year of graduation by any recognized university. University can be UGC recognized or AICTE approved. It will not cause any trouble. If you are qualifying all other eligibility criteria then you can sit in exam. Here is complete eligibility criteria for IES:

    Age Eligibility:
    You need to be between 21 years to 30 years on the 1st August of the year of examination. Age relaxations exist as per Govt. rules for SC/ST.

    Academic Eligibility:
    You must be a graduate in Engineering from a recognized university.


    UPSC conducts IES examination every year in the 1st/2nd Saturday of June, notification for which comes out in the 1st/2nd Saturday of January month

    You are eligible for IES. You must have completed graduation from a state or a central government recognized institution. Having AICTE approval is not a must. Details about the exam are available in UPSC site. Age limit is upto 30 years. You can go for IES if you are from civil, mechanical, electrical or electronics and communication stream. Final year students can also appear. Also you must have scored above 55% marks. IES exams are conducted every year. Indians can only apply for IES.

    Yes, of course you are eligibe. Its Ok , if your university is UGC approved.
    But only electrical, civil & mechanical engineers are eligible for this exam.
