    Am I eligible for IES after completing B.Tech Mechanical with 63%? If yes, How should I prepare for the same?

    hi sir
    i have completed my btech from mechanical with 63%
    am i eligible for ies & how should i prepare
    i want to go for indian railways engg services for that i have to qualify ies plz tell me

    Eligiblity Criteria for IES Examination -

    Yes, You are eligible for IES (Engineering Service examination) !

    To apply for IES Examination you need to complete your Graduate degree course in Engineering, So Any Graduate candidates are eligible to apply for IES Examination, But you have to Choose Any one Optional Subject from optional subject in IES only one from CIVIL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING.

    And you have completed your B.tech From Mechanical Stream then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination, Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for IES Examination. So, If your age should between 21 to 30 years, then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC and other reserved category candidates.

    The Notification are Published in the employment newspaper or in the UPSC Official website in the month of January, the examination was conducted in the month of May every year. For this Year The IES Examination was completed successfully, So If you are Interested to apply for this examination then please dont worry just apply for this examination next year, Eligible Candidates are apply for IES Examination Online by visit the UPSC website.

    The Application form was also availiable in the Designated Post Offices in India you have also obtained form there, the cost of Application form Was Rs 50 For Online applications and Rs 100 for Offline application form. So please wait for the Next year IES Examination Notification.

    Yes you are eligible to apply for IES-Indian engineering services examinations that shall be conducted by Union public service commission every year.
    IES provides recruitment of student into government sectors of India.
    This exam shall be conducted in the months of may or june every year.

    A mechanical engineer have the following opportunities by scoring in the IES exam namely:
    Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers
    Indian Railway Stores Service
    Central Water Engineering Gr. 'A' Service
    Central Power Engineering Service
    Indian Ordnance Factories Service
    Indian Naval Armament Service
    Assistant Executive Engineer Group 'A'
    Assistant Naval Stores Officer, Grade-I
    Central Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Service
    Assistant Executive Engineer Group A in the Geological Survey of India.
    Indian Supply Service, Group 'A'
    Indian Defence Service of Engineers

    You can give IES.
    candidte must have one of CIVIL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING these degree.
    In this exam you have to Choose Any one Optional Subject from optional subject of your branch.

    [COLOR="rgb(65, 105, 225)"]dear friend , you are eligible for IES (Indian engineering service ) with 63% in B.Tech mechanical. The eligibility criteria for IES is an engineering degree or

    equivalent M.Sc degree . The age limit is 21 to 30 years.The ESE (engineering service exam ) is conducted by UPSC through which various post in IES are filled .

    To prepare for the exam you should purchase a previous year's solved question paper book for ESE . From that you will get a clear idea about the type of

    Of course you are eligible for IES Entrance exam after completing B.Tech Mechanical Engineering .Minimum qualification criteria will be graduation only.There are no backlog in all of in six semester .If any backlog then you will rejected at the time of certificate verification and no any chance in government job so,please follow all instruction carefully.

    Candidate age limit will be in between 21-30 years .Age relaxation for OBC candidate will be minimum 3 years and for SC/ST candidate minimum 5 years for Indian Engineer service Examination.

    IAS entrance exam classified in three steps:-
    1)Prelimanary Exams

    2)Mains Exam

    3)Physical Test and Personal Interview

    If any candidate clear all these three steps then candidate are definately eligible to IAS post.For further information related to application forms please visit website:---

    Yes, u are eligible for IES. Mechanical, electrical & civil engineers are eligible for this exam.
    But you must be atleast 21 yr old.
    Also no of attempts are limited only : 4 for general, 6 for OBC & no limit for SC/ST.
    Exam is conducted in May.

    Regarding preparation, although you can do self study , but if you are not so confident, then please enroll for coaching, there are coaching available in almost all the states. Exam content is only what you have studied till now in your btech.

    hi,
    If you want to become I.E.S officer then you have to pass the B.TECH in any stream you want from the recognized university.

    I.E.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.
    Eligibility criteria:-
    >pass the B.TECH from recognized university.
    > Age limit:-
    For open category:-21-30year
    For OBC category :- 21-33year
    For ST/SC category:-21-37 year


    ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION, 2012
    Date of notification:-25.02.2012
    Last date of receipt of form:-26.03.2012(MONDAY)
    Date of exam:- 15.06.2012(FRIDAY)
