    Am I eligible for IAS/IPS/IES/IFS and other govt. job oriented competitive exams after completing B.E(Instrumentation and Control Engineering)?

    I have done my B.E. in Instrumentation & Control & want to know wether I am eligible for IAS, IPS, IES,IFS & what all other government jobs i can apply for ?

    After completing your B.E you are eligible to appear for all the above mentioned exams. In majority of the exams, graduation is the minimum required qualification. It is necessary to complete graduation from a recognized university. Apart from the IAS/IPS/IFS/IES, you can also apply for jobs in several public sector companies. Some of the public sector companies are SAIL, NTPC, ONGC, ISRO, DRDO etc. The selection in these companies will be through written exam. You should score an aggregate of 65% marks to attend these exams. You may also attend Bank exams. You can apply as per the vacancies available for posts such as clerk, PO etc.

    For being eligible to write the exams you must have a bachelors degree
    Since you have a B.E in INSTRUMENTATIONS AND CONTROL YOU MAY TAKE THE TEST AND DO WELL

    Education qualification:
    Candidate should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.

    Age eligibility:
    For General category candidate,age should be between 21 to 30 years
    For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 33 years
    For SC/ST category candidates,only minimum age is required i.e 21 years.

    Number of attempts:
    4 attempts for General category candidates
    7 attempts for OBC category candidates
    Unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates

    Height :-
    Male :
    For Pahari Male and general- 165 cm
    ST (not the SC/ OBC) - 160 cm

    Female :
    Pahari Female and general- 150 cm
    ST (not SC/ OBC) - 145 cm

    Chest : -
    Male : Minimum 84 cm. with expansion 5 cm.
    Female : Minimum 79 cm with expansion 5 cm.

    Eye sight :-
    6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye.
    6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.

    NOte:Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test.
