    Am I eligible for IAS exams with the following qualifications? B.A (EPP) from Osmania University with 48% marks and MBA (Marketing & Finance) from OU with 58%. My age is 27 years. I belong to OC category. How many more attempts are left over for

    I'm Narsimha Reddy

    i completed B.A (E.P.P) from Os mania University with 48% and also completed M.B.A (Marketing & Finance) from OU with 58% I'm eligible for I.A.S exams. My age is 27 years by 01.01.2013. I'm OC category how many attempts i will be getting please make a clear note of it.

    yeah sure you can appear for IAS exam next year
    1. IAS is a civil service exam conducted by UPSC board
    2. The age limit for civil service exam is 21-30 years, relaxation for 3years for obc, relaxation for 5years is given for sc/st's
    3. The no.of chances for filling the form is general category-4, obc-7 and no limit for sc/st
    4. Candidates must complete graduation from recognized board in India.

    IAS stands for Indian administrative service .This exam comes under civil services and is conducted by UPSC once every year .

    Yes surely you are eligible for IAS exams having these qualifications .

    Eligibility criteria for this examination are here under :-

    --- Candidates must have done their graduation or must be in the final year of same with any desired stream from any recognized university .

    --- Your age must lie within 21 to 30 years . There is provision of age relaxation for OBCs , SC/STs & physically handicapped of 3 years , 5 years & 10 years respectively .

    Information regarding number of attempts to different categories :-

    For general :- 4 times .

    For OBCs :- 7 times .

    For SC/STs :- No limits .

    The examination is organized in three stages which are here under :-

    1st stage : - Preliminary test .

    2nd stage :- Mains .

    3rd stage :- Personal interview .
