Re: Am I eligible for IAS exam while studying 2nd year B.Com (general)?

While doing B.Com 2nd year, you cannot apply for IAS posts. Graduation is the basic eligibility criterion so as to apply for this exam. On the other hand, you can apply for the same while doing 3rd year graduation. In such cases, you need to submit your certificates at the time of interview provided you qualify the initial selection tests. Minimum age limit for this post is 21 years. Higher age limit for IAS officer post is 30 years. You have to qualify UPSC civil services preliminary exam and main exam as part of the selection process. Personal interview which is the last stage too is a critical part of selection procedure.
