    im a distence b.sc degree holder from eiilm university, am i eligible for ias exam???

    Yes, you are eligible fully for attending the IAS exam. Since you have completed the graduation degree, you are eligible in all ways to attend the IAS exam. Graduation from a university or institute which is recognized by the government is a must. Also it is important that the institute should be reputed. You have not mentioned your age. The age should be at least 21 years. Also it should not be over 30 years. The candidates who belong to the reserved categories will be allowed relaxations in case of the age criteria’s.

    Yes, You are Eligible for UPSC Civil services examination after completing Bachelor degree course form a recognised University !!

    If you are Interested to become IAS Officer in Future, then for this you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised University, Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination.

    The examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year in two stages : Preliminary and Mains.

    Preliminary examination are also called Civil services aptitude test (CSAT), Firstly you have to cracked this examination, only then you are eligible to apply for Main examination. Preliminary examination is Compulsory for all the candidates and there are 2 papers in this examination and If you will cracked this examination, then you are eligible for Main examination. In Main examination you have to choose the Optional subject on the basis of Graduation because the Main examination was descriptive.

    If you have completed your B.sc degree course, then you are eligible for Next year CSAT Examination.

    The Notification of this examination will published on 04/Feb/2012 and the last date of apply for this examination : 05/March/2012. The examination will be held on 20/May/2012.

    You can Fill the application form of this examination Online, Because No other mode of application will Accepted by UPSC.

    >> Bachelor degree is the Minimum eligibility for this examination.

    So, please wait for the Notification and prepare well because General candidates will get only 4 Chance to cracked this examination. If you belong to OBC Category then you allowed 7 Attempts But no limits for SC/ST Candidates.

    Yes, you are eligible for IAS even if you completed your degree from distance mode..! And you shall not require any min.percent to apply for this exam..!

    Eligibility criteria for IAS::

    You must be a citizen of India.
    Age limits:

    Yeah.....definitely you are you are eligible for IAS.

    IAS is acronym for Indian Administrative Service.UPSC will hold the IAS exam every year.

    Eligibility for IAS:

    -You have to pass your graduation with 60% of marks in any recognized university.
    -Your age should in between 21-30 years.Upper age limit will be applicable for ST/Sc/OBC candidates.
    -You must be a citizen from India.
    -Number of attempts:4 for open/general category,7for OBC candidates, and no limit for ST/Sc/OBC candidates.

    If you fulfill those qualifications then you are eligible for IAS.

    Academic Eligibility for IAS Exams
    • You must be secured A degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be a Deemed University under the UGC Act, 1956, or an equivalent qualification.
    • You have appeared or intend to appear for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination. All such candidates who qualify to appear for the Civil Services Main Examination must produce proof of having passed the said examination along with their application for the Main Examination.
    • The UPSC may in exceptional cases treat a candidate without the foregoing requisite qualification as an eligible candidate if he / she has passed an examination conducted by other institutions, the standard of which justifies his / her admission in the opinion of the Commission.
    • You must and should have professional and technical qualifications recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional and technical degrees.

At the Interview stage they must then produce a certificate from a competent authority that they have completed (including internship) all the requirements for the award of the Medical Degree.

    sure friend you are eligible for IAS exam..you got a graduate degree.and you not mentioned you age and other details like your nativity religion caste..Because for general you should completed 21 to write IAS exam and you should not over than 30 ..you must be Indian citizen and reservation also available for OBC and SC/ST..and you get graduate from govenment approved university.so work hard .Surely you get clear the exam ..

    it is a graduation course whose duration is 3 years .

    dear IAS stands for Indian administrative service .this exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year .

    some of the eligibility criteria for this exam are :-

    you must be a citizen of India .

    your age must be within 21 to 30 years .age relaxation of upto 5 years is given to the SC/ST& OBC CANDIDATES .

    Yes off course you are eligible for appearing to the IAS examinations which are also known as the civil services as the minimum educational qualifications which are required for appearing to these civil services is you need to complete the under graduation or the bachelor degree in any of the mode of study either the full time or the distance mode of the study are eligible for appearing to these civil services selections...
    But that study should be from the recognized university of India only from the government of India either by the state or the central government of India recognized...

    These civil services selections are generally conducted for the candidates in order to employ the candidates in to the central government of India for the serving the country through the two main civil services which are as follows
    IAS (Indian Administrative Services)
    IPS (Indian Pubic Services)
    And these civil services are generally conducted by the UPSC in India by following some of the qualifications which are mainly required such as the...
