    Am I eligible for IAS exam after completing my B.Sc Chemistry course from Ellim University(In Sikkim)?

    hello...im doing b.sc in chemistry from eiilm university(sikkim) through mode,am i eligible for IAS exam after my B.SC?????

    Information About Civil Services Examination -

    Yes, You are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination to become a IAS Officer in Future.

    This examination was Conducted by UPSC Every year in Two Stages, preliminary examination and Main examination, Preliminary examination was Objective and there are 2 papers in Preliminary examination and both are of same marks and duration, Preliminary examination is Compulsory for all and those who cracked the Preliminary examination are eligible to appear for the Main examination.

    Main examination was descriptive and you have to choose Optional Subjects for Main examination as Per your Graduation.

    Eligiblity Criteria -

    To apply for CSAT Examination, you need to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University.

    Final year Graduate candidates are also eligible to apply for CSAT Examination.

    Your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories.

    There is No minimum percentage is required to apply for CSAT Examination because any graduate passed candidates are eligible for UPSC Civil services examination.

    About Notification -

    The Notification of CSAT Examination was Going to be Published in the employment Newspaper OR inn the UPSC website in the Month of February.

    For Next year Examination Notification was Published on 04/Feb/2012 and the last date of apply for this examination was 05/March/2012.

    The examination was Going to be held on 20/May/2012.

    So, Please wait for the Notification and then apply for This examination Online OR Offline, If you are Interested to apply for this examination Offline, then please Obtained the application form Directly form the Post offices after declaring the Notification.

    So, If you have completed your Graduate degree course in any discipline and Fulfill the age eligibility Criteria, then you are eligible to apply for CSAT Examination Next year.

    my friend,
    IAS is the INDIAN CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION.it is one of the competitive exam.
    the ELIGIBILITY :
    candidate should have bachelor degree from recognized university.
    Age limit : 21 to 30 years.for relaxation category 5 years more is valid.for backward class like SC/ST ,3 years is more valid.
    Getting a job in civil service is not so easy.it is for serving nation attain position in a level of difficulty considered just like a drop of water in indian ocean.and in india for this post there is no more vacancy .so if you want to become ias officer then you have to do more and more hardwork.you have one goal and try to do anything to achive it.\

    Yeah, you are eligible for IAS.
    UPSC will hold the IAS exam every year.

    Age:

    Your age should in between 21-30 years.Upper age limit relax able for SC/STs,OBCs and certain other categories.

    Educational qualifications:

    You have to pass your Bachelor's degree in recognized university at least one of the subjects namely Animal husbandry & veterinary science,botany,chemistry,geology,maths,physics,sta tistics and zoology or a bachelor degree in agriculture,Forestry or in engineering or an equivalent qualification.

    Number of attempts:

    4 for general, 7 for OBC and no limit for SC/STs.

    So you are eligible for IAS.

    => The I.A.S entrance exam is conducted by the U.P.S.C..
    => You must have minimum graduation for attending this entrance exam..
    => There is no age limit for attending this entrance exam..
    => You must be perfect in each and every subjects friend..
    => So do concentrate on maths, science, political science..
    => And also economics, law subjects, taxation subjects..

    Eligibility fot the IAS examination

    Candidate should have Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects Animal Husbandry &

    To become an IAS officer you have to apply for the civil service examination which is conducted by the UPSC.The examination is conducted once a year and any graduates students can apply for the exam if you satisfy the other eligibility criteria for the exam.

    ELIGIBILTY FOR IAS ARE AS FOLLOW :

    candidate should be qualified in under graduation in any stream with 60% percentage from recognized university .

    candidate age should be 21 to 30 years and relaxation relation period is given to the candidates like sc/sc candidate for 5years and obc candidate for 3 years and handicapped and widow candidate for 10 years .

    general candidates eligible to write the attempt for 4 times and obc and other backward candidates for 7 times and there is no limit of sc/st candidate .

    As you know that the Indian Administrative services is the part of the nationally renowned club of exams called as the Indian civil services exam. The exam is conducted every year by the UPSC for the post of officers in the following departments of India:
    *Indian Administrative services: for the post of officers in the administrative body of India
    *Indian forest service: for the post of officers in the forest and wildlife parks and botanical gardens of India
    *Indian foreign service: for the post of officers in the external affairs ministry and foreign officers posts
    *Indian police service: for the post of officers in the police departments of India
    *Indian customs and central excise service: for the post of officers in the tax departments and the customs offices of India
    *Indian revenue service: for the post of officers in the RBI and other depatments

    To be eligible for the exam you have to fulfill the following eligibility details:
    *you have to be an Indian national
    *you have to be a 21 to 30 years of age. There is 3 years age relaxation for the SC/ST/OBC candidates
    *you have to be a graduate in any discipline. There is no minimum percentage criteria and that is why the graduates with just a pass degree can also give the exam
    *you can attempt the exam only:
    4 times if from general category
    7 times if from OBC category
    unlimited no. of times if from sc/st category

    so that means you being a graduate in the field of science with chemistry specialisation can also apply academically. now you just need to check the details regarding the age and the attempt criteria to give the exam.

    The notification for the exam comes in the beginning of the yeat with the exam being conducted in the mid year. The exam consist of 2 stages:
    1. prelim exam: It is an objective exam on general knowledge and the optional subject
    2. Main exam: It is a written exam on general english, essay writing, general awareness and also the optional subject pair with 2 papers on each subject.

    After qualifying the exam you have to clear the interview after which the training is given.

    Yes, you are eligible for IAS after finishing your B.Sc.
    There is no required of maintaining min.percent in your degree to write IAS.

    There will be 3 stages in IAS:
    - CSAT
    - Mains
    - Interview


    Eligibility criteria for IAS::

    # You must be a citizen of India.
    # Age limits for IAS:
    - You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
    The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
    upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
    upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)
    # You must complete your Graduation Degree(No restriction in Min.Percent)
    # Number of attempts::
    - General candidates: four attempts.
    - Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
    - Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.
    # Fee::
    Rs. 100/-
    (No fee for SCs/STs/Physically disabled)

    ->Preliminary Examination would consist of two papers- Paper I and Paper II.
    Syllabus for CSAT as proposed by UPSC
    (Paper 1) (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs
    ->(Paper II) (200 marks) – Duration : Two hrs
    ->The final interview is of 300 marks.


    1st Stage in IAS Exam Pattern(CSAT)::

    Preliminary or simply CSAT is the first tier within the 3 stage IAS exam.
    It's usually conducted around 2nd or third Sunday each May in which around 1.5 lac IAS aspirants appear for the Preliminary.

    The Prelims includes 2 papers of two hundred scores equally common to all applicants.
    Paper 1 consists the Questions on:
    - Indian politics
    - Current affairs
    - GK
    - Indian History
    - Geography
    - General Science and Economy

    And the 2nd paper comprises of questions about:
    - Mental ability
    - Comprehension skills
    - Logical reasoning
    - Passage
    - Statistics and decision making ability.

    The outcome of Prelims are announced during the 2nd week of August.
    And you will qualify for the 2nd level(Main Exams) of this IAS Exam - if have finished prelims successfully.

    2nd Stage in IAS Exam Pattern(Mains)::
    The 2nd phase Mains contains the score of 2000 Marks.

    You are required to select 2 optional papers for the civil services Mains, while GS and Essay are standard to all people.

    Mandatory Papers in Mains:
    - English, and one Indian language paper

    3rd and Final Stage in IAS Exam::
    The third level is considered the Employment interview level conducted by a group of specialists in the UPSC hq located at Shahjahan Road, Delhi.

    Commonly 2.5 times the total vacancies during a particular year are called for this IAS personality assessment that commences around the last week of March and carries on right till the 1st week of May.

    The IAS interview is led by UPSC members and technocrats.
