    1.he should be a graduate from any stream from recognized university
    2.age should be max 30 years.
    for obc candidates 33 years max
    for sc/st candidates 35 years max

    To make a career in Government sector is good decision and if your aim is to become IAS Officer in Future then for this you have to apply and cracked the UPSC Civil services examination.

    UPSC (Union public service Comission) was conducts the Civil services examination every year in 2 stages - Preliminary examination and Main examination.

    Firstly, You have to cracked the Preliminary examination and if you will be able to cracked this examination then you are eligible for Main examination, In Main examination you need to choose one optional subjects as per your Graduation. In Preliminary examination there are 2 papers and both are of same marks and duration, the examination was objective.

    To apply for this examination you need to satisfied the given eligibility Criteria -

    (A) You must have complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university.

    (B) Your age should between 21 to 30 years (For General candidates)

    (C) There is no minimum percentage is required to apply for this examination, Graduate passed candidates are eligible for This examination.

    So, Graduation is the minimum eligibility to apply for UPSC Civil services examination, Final year graduate candidates are also apply for this examination.

    Preliminary examination are also called CSAT Examination (Civil services aptitude test).

    >> If you are Interested in this examination, then please apply for this examination next year, You have completed your CSE Engineering course, so you are definitely eligible to apply for this examination, The dates and schedule for this examination was already updated in the official UPSC website.

    The Notification of UPSC Civil services examination was published on 04/Feb/2012.

    The last date of apply for this examination was 05/March/2012.

    Examination date - 20/May/2012.

    General candidates in this examination gets only 4 chances.

    Yes, You are eligible for IAS exam.

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year through Civil Service Exam.So you must attend in CSAT exam.

    Those candidate have completed graduation degree or final year of graduation degree from recognized board are applicable for IAS exam.

    But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide only for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

    The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. for OBC candidate it is 7 times and for general candidate it is 5 times.

    Civil Service examination can be divided as three stages.

    1)Preliminary
    2)Main exam
    3)Interview
