Re: Am I eligible for IAS exam after completing B.Sc(P) home science course?

Yes you are eligible to apply for IAS(Indian Administrative services) or CSE(Civil services exams) as you have completed your graduation.
The reason being that the minimum qualification that is required to appear for this examination is to have a graduation degree.
The exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public service Commission).
The procedure to become an IAS Officer or to compete for CSE(Civil services examinations) can be explained as follows:
    1)Preliminary exams-
This is the first and a very important stage in the whole procedure.
This is an objective examination and questions are asked from various subjects such as quantitative aptitude,
    english, mental ability,general awareness, etc.

    2)Mains examination-
This is the second stage and it is conducted shortly after the results for the first stage are declared. So, even if a candidate is not sure that
he or she would be able to clear the preliminary exams, he or she should start preparing for the next stage. This is a subjective exam.

    3)Personal Interview-
This is the third and the most crucial stage in the whole procedure. You can appear for the interview in a language in which
you are comfortable but at the same time which can be understood by the interviewer. You would need guidance to clear this interview.
