    Am I eligible for IAS entrance exam at the age of 28 years and after completing my B.Sc degree with 52%?

    hi, i m kaveri,

    Now my age is 28, i was pass may degree in bsc with 52 %, i want clarification about ias, i want to attende the ias exam which is condected in next year. please tel me can i eligible for this exam.

    yes my dear aspirant, your eligible to write IAS exam. candidates who want to write IAS exam they must satisfy following criteria;

    he should be a graduate from recognized university with atleast 50%
    age should not exceed 28 years,


    your age is now 28 years and you got 52% marks then you are eligible to write IAS exam.

    The eligibility for IAS is as follows:

    -Bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized university.
    -Age limit: 21-30yrs.

    If you fulfill the above criteria,then you are eligible for IAS.
    You can get the notification of the exam from the UPSC website.

    hello kaveri,

    You are eligible for writing IAS exam as the cutoff percentage is 50% and age limit is not more than 28 only for this year.
    Preparing for IAS is entirely based on how hard you work.
    Because the competiton is very high.
    Here are few tips on how to prepare for IAS:

    1. Be very particular about the subject you choose for prelims, as you will be appearing for an objective type of paper.
    History, maths, geography may prove to be very scoring.
    Choose subjects which have availability of books, reading material and guidance.

    2. G.K. is very important in your prelims.
    Reading newspapers, watching TV news and of course quiz shows.

    3. If you have been lucky enough to reach the interview stage book knowledge may not be the only thing you need.
    Your mental alertness will count.

    4. Maintain good personality because it will definitely be one of the criteria for selection.
    For IPS physical well being is of great importance, you should be medically fit.

    5. Improve your communication skills.
    IAS aspirants must be proficient in at least one foreign language.
    Have general awareness and what's happening around

    6. Review previous year question papers also.

    Yes as completion of your graduation you are eligible for IAS.

    IAS stands for Indian administrative services.UPSC will hold the IAS exam.

    Eligibility for IAS:

    >>Age:Your age should in between 21-30 years.Upper age limit relax able for ST/SC/OBC candidates.

    >>Educational qualification:
    You have to pass your graduation in any recognized university with at least one of the following subjects namely animal husbandry & veterinary science,Botany,Chemistry,Geology,Mathematics,Physi cs,statistics and zoology or bachelor's degree in agriculture,forestry engineering or equvilent qualification.

    Number of permissible attempts:4 For general candidates and 7 for OBC and no limit for SC/ST candidates.

    So you are eligible for IAS.

    Yes, You are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination to become IAS Officer.

    You have already completed your Graduate degree course i.e B.sc course, so you are definitely eligible for UPSC Civil services examination.

    About Civil services Examination -

    Civil services examination was conducted by UPSC Comission every year, This examination was also called CSAT Examination (Civil services Aptitude Test). You have to cracked the Preliminary examination first only then you are eligible to apply for the Main examination, There are Two papers in Preliminary examination and Both are of Same Marks and Duration. In main examination you have to choose the optional subjects as per your graduation.

    Hi friend

    Yes you are eligible to write IAS.

    ELIGIBILITY:

    1.A pass in graduation in any discipline is enough.
    Your B Sc with 52% is ELIGIBLE.

    2.Also age wise you are qualified.
    You have to between 21 and 30 years of age.

    IAS Exam has three stages Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and an Interview.
    The prelims are held around May-June.It has multiple choice questions. There are two papers (duration of each being 2 hrs).
    a) General studies and
    b)Optional subject: you can choose from Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Agriculture, Maths, Phy, Chem, Stats etc.

    The main written examination usually takes place in Oct-Nov, it comprises of 9 papers in all.
    Language: one of the Indian languages, English, Essay GK and Current Affairs: 2 papers on general studies Optionals: papers from two subjects that fall in optional-1 and two papers from optional-2 .
    If you do well you then the interview calls are sent in March-April of the following year and they take place in the month of April-May.

    Yes you can appear for IAS exam.Indian Administration Service (IAS) exam is conducted by upsc every year once.

    Eligibility criteria for IAS exam:
    Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream form recognized university.
    Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category candidates,21 to 33 years for OBC category candidates,21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates.

    Number of attempts:
    4 attempts for General category candidates
    7 attempts for OBC category candidates
    unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates.

    Indian Administration Service(Preliminary exam) Notification for this year:
    Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
    Exam will held on 20th May 2012.
    Indian Administration Service (Main Exam) notification for this year:
    Exam will held on 15th Oct 2012.

    Only Indians are eligible for IAS Exam.

    The required age for IAS Examination is 21 years to 30 years..

    So you can apply for IAS examination.

    UPSC evry year conducts the Civil Services Examination.
    And Candidates must have completd Graduation from a recognized university .

    Final year candidates also eligible for IAS examination..

    The candidates must be citizen of India.

    Age relaxation is given to reserved category candidates.
    OBC 3 years
    Sc/St 5 years
    PH /VH 10 years
    ...

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC through Civil Service Exam .This exam conduct every year .

    Those candidate have complted graduation degree from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.There is not require any kind of Percentage marks for IAS Exam.

    You have completed B.Sc degree with above 52% marks so you are applicable for IAS Exam .

    If you are from general category then your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.

    Your age now 28 years old so you are applicable for IAS exam .

    The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

    CSAT exam conduct in 3 steps like - 1)Preliminary Exam 2)Mains Exam 3)Personal Interview.

    Preliminary examination has two sections and each section consist of 200 marks.Both sections are objective types questions.
