    About UPSC Civil Services Examination -

    If you have completed your 3 year Graduate degree course in any recognised University and colleges, then you are eligible for UPSC Civil services examination, The examination was conducted by UPSC Every year and Any graduate candidates are eligible to apply for this examination. But the age of candidates should between 21 to 30 years.

    >> Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC and Other reserved category candidates, OBC Candidates will gets 3 year relaxation and SC, ST candidates will gets 5 year relaxation.

    Eligiblity Criteria -

    >> You must be graduate in any discipline (Arts/Science/Commerce) from a Recognised university.
    >> Age should between 21 to 30 years.
    >> Final year graduate candidates are also apply for this examination.
    >> Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognised by Government as equivalent to professional and technical degree would also be eligible for this examination.

    The Notification was Published in the Month of February and the examination was going to be held on May 2012. For this year Preliminary examination was already completed and If you missed the Chance in this year, then please apply for this examination Next year.

    >> The Schedule of 2012 Examination was Updated in the UPSC website.

    The Notification of Civil services examination was Published in the Month of February and the examination was Going to be held in May 2012.

    Examination was Divided into two stages, Preliminary and Mains. Preliminary examination are also called CSAT Examination and there are two papers in this examination, Both are of Same Marks and Duration. And If you have cleared the preliminary examination only then you are eligible to sit in Main examination.

    >> You have to choose the Optional Subjects in Main examination and If you have cleared both these examination, then you have appear the Final Interview.

    The application form of this examination was availiable in the Designated post offices in India, But you can also Fill the Application form Online By visit the UPSC website.

    If you have a bacholar degree and your age is between 21-30 years, then you are eligible for IAS exams. If you have a general cadidates, then you can apply four
    times in this exams and if you are belong to OBC candidates, then you can apply
    seven times in IAS examination.

    If you are interested to apply for IAS exams, then please purchase the application
    form of Rs. 20 from the recognised post offices Or you can also get the notifications

    Yes of course my dear friend you are eligible for IAS entrance exam .
    IAS is conducted by UPSC every yera .IAS is civil service exam .
    If you have bachelor degree in any discipline and if your college or
    unoversity is recognized by govenment of india then you are definitely eligible .
    Eligibility criteria for IAS entrance exam are as follows :-
    1]A candidate should be graduate from any stream
    2] He should be passed his graduation with minimum 50 % .
    3]A candidate should be citizen of India .
    4]Age limit between 21 to 30 years for open category.
    5] For OBC candidate age relaxation is of 3 years .
    6]For SC/ST candidate age relaxation is of 5 years .
    Once you clear the entrance exam then you will have to go interview
    after clearing the interview you are eligible for the post of IAS officer .

    YES YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPEAR IN THE CIVIL SERVICES. THE ELIGIBILITY SAYS THAT:
    1) AGE SHOULD BE BETWEEN 21 AND 31.
    2) YOU SHOULD HAVE COMPLETED YOUR GRADUATION WITH AT LEAST 55% MARKS( IN ANY STREAM).

    SO ACCORDING TO YOUR QUALIFICATION YOU CAN APPEAR IN THE EXAM.
    NOW THE NOYIFICATIO FOR THE EXAM RELEASED IN JAN-FEB OF EVERY YEAR. SO TAKE TH FORM FROM THE OFICIAL SITE OR FROM THE POST OFICE AND SEND IT TO THE REQUIORED ADDRESS.

    THE EXAM WILL BE OF THREE STAGES PRELIMINARY, MAINS AND INTERVIEW.

    IAS - Indian Administrative Service:

    This exam is conducted by UPSC and is held every year.The candidates are selected through 3 stages namely:

    Preliminary exam.
    Main exam.
    Interview.


    Eligibility:

    Candidates must be a citizen of India.

    Candidates must have a age limit of 21-30 years.
    For SC/ST candidates it is 35 years.
    For OBC candidates it is 33 years.
    For Ex-service men it is 5 years exception.

    Candidates must have a degree from a recognized university.

    Yeah,you can apply for the IAS exam as you have finished your civil engineering.

    b)Optional subject: you can choose from Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Agriculture, Maths, Phy, Chem, Stats etc.
    The results are declared in July-August and if you clear you are called for the main examinations.

    IAS Mains Exam pattern:
    The main written examination usually takes place in Oct-Nov
    It comprises of 9 papers in all .

    If you are successful in the main examinations are eligible for an interview which plays a crucial part in the selection.

    IAS Interview :
    The interview calls are sent in March-April of the next year and they take place in the month of April-May.

    Eligibility Criteria For IAS

    (i) Age limits :

    21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified in Para 3(ii) of Notice).

    (ii) Educational Qualifications :

    Bachelorís degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification (Para 3(iii) of Notice).
    (iii) No. of permissible attempts :
    Four (Seven attemps of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs (Para 3 (iv) of Notice)
    (iv) Fee :
    Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only)

    Friend,

    It is possible for you to become An IAS /IPS officer but you have to crack the Civil services examination.

    The eligibility criteria for that exam is:

    1)A candidate must be an indian citizen.
    2)A candidate must be having a graduation degree in any field from any recognized university.
    3)A candidate appearing for the final year exams of graduation is also eligible to appear in the examinations.
    4)A candidate's age must be between 21 to 30 years.There is some relaxation in the age for the reserved
    categories

    For OBC it is 3 years
    For SC/ST it is 5 years.


    5)NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:

    For general category students they have only 4 number of attempts.
    For OBC category students they have only 7 number of attempts.
    For SC/ST category students they have no limit on number of attempts.

    6)EXAMINATION:

    1)CSAT(CIVIL SERVICES APTITUDE TEST).
    2)MAINS
    3)INTERVIEW

    7)APPLICATION FORM:You can get the application form from the post office or yopu can also download ot

    You have mentioned that you have completed yourcivil engineering and now you want to pursue Civil engineering.
    Yes you are eligible to pursue Civil services examination as you have already done your graduation.And any candidate
    who has completed his or her graduation with the minimum prescribed percentage is eligible to appear for Civilservices
    examination.And the minimum percentage which should be obtained by a candidate in order to appear for this exam is
    50% in any discipline froma recognise university whether the student has completed his or her graduation from correspondence or regular mode.

    There are basically three stages which are required to be cleared in order to qualify this examination after which you would
    be allowed to choose a post for example IAS, IRS, IES, and IPS, etc.These are as follows:
    1)Preliminary examinations
    2)Mains examination
    3)Personal Interview.

    IAS Entrance Exam (or Civil Services Exam) is conducted by UPSC every year for recruitment of posts like IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, etc.

    ELIGIBILITY
    you have to complete your degree from any recognised university incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in india or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or it may be declared as deemed university under the act of ugc act 1956.
    age limit
    you must have 21 years of age and your age must not be above 30 years on august 1 of the year of examination.
    age relaxation
    • you have 5 years of age relaxation if you are belong to the SC/ST,
    • you have 3 years of age relaxation if you are belong to the other backward classes,
