You can attend civil service exams and other government exams even if you have done part time B.Tech course. But, you should take up B.Tech from a recognized institute or university. SRM university is a deemed university which is accredited by NAAC. You can apply for IAS/IPS posts by attending UPSC civil services exam after B.Tech. If interested, you can also appear for IES. You can also try for PSU jobs. You can apply for positions like PO/Specialist Officers in banks too. Railway is also another important government department where in you can try for jobs.
