    Am I eligible for GATE after B.Sc(IT)?

    I am the final year student Bsc ( IT sector).I have doubt, am I eligible for GATE or not ? I am from IT sector in my graduation so can any one help me?

    Hello,
    Students fulfilling the below criteria are eligible for GATE entrance exam -
    All those who are holding Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are pursuing final year of such programmes.
    Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (Post-B.Sc./Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

    So you are eligible...

    Yes you are eligible for the GATE exam with your B.Sc Degree with IT as your main background, here i mention you some important points regarding the GATE exam.

    GATE ( Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering ) is a common entrance exam conducted every year all over India for the young aspirants who want to go for Post Graduation studies in India's most famous colleges. Qualifying in GATE is considered as main criteria in attending some interviews and government sector jobs so there is a much value for the GATE exam.

    Every year GATE exam is conducted by the 7 IIT's and IISc

    1. Indian Institute of Science - Bangalore
    2. Indian Institute of Technology - Madras
    3. Indian Institute of Technology - Kanpur
    4. Indian Institute of Technology - Guwahati
    5. Indian Institute of Technology - Rourkee
    6. Indian Institute of Technology - Kharagpur
    7. Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi
    8. Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay

    GATE exam will be conducted in both Online and Offline mode and can you have to write any of your choice, to apply for the GATE exam you should maintain some requirements with respect to your Education it includes

    - Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture ( 4 years ) and those who are in Final of the course

    - Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture ( Post B.Sc, Post Diploma ) and those who are in Final of the course

    - Master Degree holder in any branch of Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer applications, or equivalent and if you are in final of the course.

    - If you are in Second or Higher year of the four year integrated Master Degree program ( Post B.Sc in Engineering and Technology ).

    - If you are in fourth or Higher year of five year integrated Master Degree program or Dual Degree program in Engineering and Technology.

    - If you are qualified in examinations like UPSC, AICTE, AIMCE as equivalent to B.E / B.Tech and those who have compiled section A or equivalent professional course are also eligible.


    so if you want to apply for the GATE exam then you can do by Online mode only and you have to submit the necessary docs as required by the governing board.

    GATE exam will be comprising of 65 questions for 100 marks and the time duration would be 3 hrs and all are objective type questions and you have mark the right answer on the ORS sheet with Black Ball Point pen only.

    with your qualification you can apply for the one subject only in the GATE examination as per given in the 21 type papers given like Aerospace, Agriculture, Architecture, Biotechnology, Civil, Chemical, Computer Science, Chemistry, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Geology and Geophysics, Instrumentation, Mathematics, Mechanical, Mining, Metallurgical, Physics, Production and Industrial, Textile Engineering and Fiber science, Engineering sciences, Life sciences.

    yes, you are eligible for GATE Entrance exam with B.Sc (IT) degree course

    GATE Eligibility :

    Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering /Technology /Architecture (4 years after 10+2)
    Master's degree holders in any branch of science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Application or equivalent
    Candidates in the second master's degree programme in Engineering / Technology

    Sorry to say that B.Sc in IT department are not applicable for GATE exam.

    GATE stands for GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST conducted by IIT, is an examination for Graduate engineers for admission to M.Tech. courses in IITs, NITs, BITS etc.

    You should be Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (Post-B.Sc./Post-Diploma) and those if you are in the final year of such programmed then also you are eligible..

    There will be no age criteria for GATE Exam.

    There will be no limit on number of attempts for GATE Exam.

    GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and this examination is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board every year. For this year GATE Examination was already completed, If you are Interested in this examination then please wait for Next year Notification.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    ~~ You have to complete your 4 years Graduate degree course in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture or you have to complete your Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (Post-B.Sc./Post-Diploma).

    OR

    ~~ You have to complete your Master degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent.

    So, If you have fulfill any one of the criteria, then you are eligible to apply for GATE Examination.

    You have to choose any one subject in GATE Examination, the list of subjects is available in the official website. GATE examination consists of a single paper of 3 hours duration which contains 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper will consist of only objective questions. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer, except for the numerical answer type questions. Each GATE paper shall have a General Aptitude component carrying 15 marks.

    If you have fulfill the above eligibility then you are eligible for GATE Examination, So please prepared well for GATE Examination as per the Pattern. If you have cracked the GATE Examination with good scores then you will get job in Government companies easily.

    No You are not eligible for GATE entrance examination.

    GATE stands for Graduate Apititude Test of Engineering for M.Tech course to get admission to IITs ,NITs ,BITS collegs across all over India.

    Educational qualification :
    The candidates must have Bachelor degree in Engineering /Technology / Architecture course.

    Or Master degree in Statistics /Mathematics / Computer Application .

    Final year candidates may also apply.......

    GATE is conducted by IITs of India...
