    i am passedout in b.tech csit 2010 with 58%.can i eligible to write gate exam 2012,2013

    Definitely you can appear in the Gate examination.Gate - Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering, is an entrance examination for those students who wish to join the M.tech course in top engineering colleges of India.Basically GATE is conducted through the constitution of eight zones. The zones and the corresponding administering institutes are:

    • Zone 1 - Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru.
    • Zone 2 - Indian Institute of Technology Bombay .
    • Zone 3 - Indian Institute of Technology Delhi .
    • Zone 4 - Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati .
    • Zone 5 - Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur .
    • Zone 6 - Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur .
    • Zone 7 - Indian Institute of Technology Madras .
    • Zone 8 - Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.


    Eligibility for GATE:-

    • Students having the Bachelorís degreeEngineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) can apply for GATE.
    • Students having Masterís degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
    • Students who are in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Masterís degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology can apply for this exam.

    Yes , You are applicable for all GATE exams so don't worry about this .The another thing is their is no marks criteria for GATE exam for b-Tech student .

    You are applicable for 2013,14,15.........GATE Exam .

    Eligibility criteria for GATE exam:-



    NOTE:-

    >>There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply here maximum time.


    >>There are no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.


    >>GATE score is valid for TWO years.


    >>3rd year student are NOT eligible for This year GATE exam.


    >>Only final year and pass out batch are eligible for 2013 GATE exam.

    GATE-Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is the entrance exam which is conducted by IIT'S every year to take admissions into top colleges if you get a good rank.

    GATE is conducted by IIT's every year in the month of February(Generally 2nd sunday of Feb).

    You have to apply only through ONLINE.

    The application fee is Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD candidates.

    GATE papers are fully objective type. It consists of 65 questions with negative marking and you will be having 3hrs.duration.

    Question paper pattern for GATE :

    Q.1 to Q.25: Will carry one mark each (sub-total 25 marks). 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
    Q.26 to Q.55: Will carry two marks each (sub-total 60 marks) 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
    Q.48 through Q.51 (2 pairs) will be common data questions. Each question will carry two marks 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
    Question pairs (Q.52, Q.53) and (Q.54, Q.55) will be linked answer questions.
    The answer to the second question of the last two pairs will depend on the answer to the first question of the pair.
    If the first question in the linked pair is wrongly answered or is un-attempted, then the answer to the second question in the pair will not be evaluated. Each question will carry two marks
    There will be negative marks only for wrong answer to the first question of the linked answer question pair i.e. for Q.52 and Q.54, 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking for Q.53 and Q.55.
    Q.56 to Q.60 : From General Aptitude (GA) will carry one mark each (sub-total 5 marks). 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
    Q.61 to Q.65 : From GA will carry two marks each (sub-total 10 marks) 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.



    Eligibility for GATE:

    You should be a Bachelor degree holder in Engineering OR Technology OR Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and even if you are in the final year can also write GATE.

    You should be a Master degree holder in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and even if you are in the final year of such programmes.

    If you are in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/ Technology.

    Second and third year MCA students are also eligible for GATE

    First and Second year MSc students are also eligible for GATE

    So, you're eligible to write GATE exam

    dear friedn,

    yes this is right that you can fight this entrance exam. there are many good insititute which will give you admission in this field. you can do the m.tech after getting good rank in this exam. the final year and the previous final year students both could fight this exam since 2011.
    but in these dyas since 2012 only final year b.tech student and passed out students can fight this exam.
    you have completed the b.tech so you can fight this exam. you have to do the hard work for getting the best rank.

    there are all the subject included that you have study in the b.tech so you should clear all the concepts and then you have to fight this exam.
    you should also read these subjects like:-

    aptitude
    reasoning
    english
    maths,.

    ETC.

    so best of luck

    sorry, you are not eligible in gate exam........

    becouse want minimum 60% marks for gate....

    you can do m.tech but without gate exam.....

    IT IS CONDUCTED BY INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND SEVEN
    OTHER IIT (INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY)

    ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE EXAM:-
    1) CANDIDATE MUST HAVE PASSED ENGINEERING FROM ONE OF RECOGNISED INSTITUTES
    2) MASTERS DEGREE IN ANY BRANCH OF SCIENCE/MATHEMATICS
    3) PRE FINAL YEAR STUDENTS CANT APPLY FOR GATE......
    4) CANDIDATES WITH QUALIFICATIONS OBTAINED THROUGH EXAMINATION CONDUCTED BY
    UPSC/AICTE

    AS FAR AS AGE IS CONCERNED THERE IS NO LIMIT FOR IT

    GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

    This is an all India level exam being jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Science and 7 IIMs (Indian Institute of Management).

    Eligibility criteria to appear for GATE Exam.

    You should be of bachelors degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architectrue which must be a 4 years course after completion of 10+2.

    You who are pursuing final year of bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture are also eligible to appear for this exam.

    You have Masters degree with any of the stream are eligible to appear for this exam.

    There is no age criteria for GATE Exam.

    One can appear for GATE Exam irrespective of age if he meet academic criteria.

    There will be no limit on number of attempts for GATE Exam.

    You can appear for GATE Exam as many times as you wanted.

    From this academic year, pre final year candidates of Engineering are not eligible to appear for GATE Exam.

    dear graduate aptitude test in engineering is an all india examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian institute of science and seven Indian institutes of technology for masters degree courses of engineering in top engineering colleges in india .i you want to take ad mission into the masters programme of these top engineering colleges and IISC you need to appear for the gate exam.
    in the GATE exam you have only one paper to attempt you have to write that paper in 3 hours of time,the paper consists of 65questions and carries 100 marks.the questions are like objective type and you have to darken the circles.
