    Am I eligible for Food Inspector Exam after completing B.Sc with Chemistry,Zoology and Botany subjects in 2003? When is the next scheduled food inspector exam? Tell the tentative dates for same?

    I have completed bsc with chemistry,zoology,botany in 2003 .am I eligibe for food insector eam.
    Plz give information about this exam and exam date in 2012_13.

    If your age is fulfill the below criteria then you are eligible otherwise not.

    Union Public Service Commission conducts All India Food Inspector exam for the recruitment of Food Inspectors in various offices within the country

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-

    Food inspector examination is conducted by UPSC as well state Public service commission.

    The main function of food inspector is to Examine the food quality and quantity in various industries/hotels/organization and etc

    You must be a graduate in Medicine.
    Or
    Candidate should have graduate in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject
    or
    A graduate in Agriculture/ Public Health / Pharmacy / Veterinary /Science Food Technology / Dairy Technology.

    AGE CRITERIA:-

    Candidates age must lie between 21 years to 35 years as on July 1st 2012

    Upper age Relaxation is provided to candidate belonging to Reservation category.

    You must also have at-least one month training in Food inspection and sampling work approved by the Central Government or State Government.

    QUESTION PAPER DETAILS:-

    It comprises of questions on following topics -
    technical related question
    science subjects
    numerical ability
    GK questions
    English language test

    NOTE - It also consist of negative marking for incorrect answers.

    Food Inspector Exam is applicable for the aspirants who have completed graduation in science with chemistry as one of the subjects. The age limit for the exam is 21 years to 35 years. So, you are eligible for the Food Inspector Exam. In the previous year, the last date of submission for the application form was in the middle of February. You can expect the same pattern in this year also. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes. You must be very careful in attending the unknown questions since there is negative marking for wrong answers.

    1.All India Food Inspector Entrance Exam

    2.Punjab Food Supplies Department Entrance Exam.

    Food Inspector Exam

    Union Public Service Commission conducts All India Food Inspector exam for the recruitment of Food Inspectors in various offices within the country.

    Structure and Pattern of the All India Food Inspector Exam

    The test pattern comprises of questions on technical side, which includes science subjects.

    It also consists of numerical ability and GK questions.

    There will also be an English language test.

    The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.

    Aspirants need to be very careful in attending the unknown questions, as there is negative marking for incorrect answers.

    Qualification Criteria for the All India Food Inspector Exam

    Graduates in medicine who have gone through training in food inspection are qualified to attend the test.

    Otherwise, the aspirants should have completed the bachelors’ degree in any of the science subjects.

    They must have studied Chemistry as a subject in their qualifying course.

    Graduates in Agriculture / Pharmacy / Food Technology / Dairy Technology are also eligible to apply for the test.

    Only aspirants from certified Universities are qualified for the exam.

    Those who are having an equivalent degree can also apply for the test.

    To obtain the forms, applicants can rely up on the general post offices within the country.

    As the test is conducted all over India, applicants can procure the same from any GPO offices across the country by remitting the required application fee.

    Yes ,you are eligible because the elibility is as follows :

    Eligibility criteria:

    1. You must be graduates in any of the science subjects/agriculture / pharmacy / food technology/ dairy technology from a recognized college.Final year appearing candidates can also apply for Food Inspector exam.

    2. Age - The age criteria is given below

    >21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates

    >21 Years to 33 Years for OBC candidates

    >21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates.

    3. Nationality - Indian
