Eligiblity for engineering course is that a candidate must have score min.60 percent marks in pcm,in some colleges min.50 percent marks are also demanded in pcm.You scored 49 percent in pcm so you are not eligible for engineering in maharastra.

Your percentages are very low my dear and the minimum qualification to get any of the engineering college is 50% ,so you are not elligible with this percentage ,but better you try once by talking to the concern authorities of the institution ,if they agrees then you can take admission ,but you will have to compromise with private college itself because no government college will allow you to get enter in to the college with this percentage .

I don't think you are eligible my friend because the minimum marks in PCM should be 60% and also overall and your marks are unfortunately below that.So you might not be eligible but still check for the criteria in the state of maharashtra as there may be some relaxation there.

Re: Am I eligible for Engineering in Maharashtra after scoring 42% in PCM and 59% in HSC?

Sorry dear but you are not eligible for either of them.....!

As you mentioned that you are from open category student, eligibility criteria is such that candidate must have at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. There is a relaxation of 5% for candidates belonging from reserved or any minority community of Maharashtra state.

Therefore having less then 50% you are not eligible for MHT-CET engineering Counselling if able to pass the entrance.

Similar thing is with AIEEE also, candidate must have at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer science.

So, here also having less then 50% you can not get through AIEEE also.

Even having appeared for AIEEE can not help you with any relaxation in MH-CET.

    hi,friend

You have total 59% ,but for PCM only 42%.
According to AICTE rules, candidate only eligible if they have 45% in 12th science with PCM.
now you have 59% but only having 42% in PCM.then you can not get admission.
sorry, friend.but don't loss courage, you have to try again and pass the exam and get a good marks and also get a admission in good college.
and we all know the think that all the success can get after the failure.
now you read 2nd time, then if you concentrate, then you can make a good score and will get admission nicely.

    best of luck.....

    Dear Friend,

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for engineering in maharashtra.

For getting admission in maharshtra it requires minimum 50% in PCM.

it also requires the entrance exam like CET, AIEEE etc.

The admission of engineering is based on entrance exam result.

So you require minimum 50% in PCM.

    ALL THE BEST!!!!!

Re: Am I eligible for Engineering in Maharashtra after scoring 42% in PCM and 59% in HSC?

If you comes under the reserved category under the state of Maharashtra then you will only be eligible for appearing in the Maharashtra engineering as per your marks provided.

As your marks is very low thus you will not be able to appear in this engineering exam.
I will suggest to appear for senior secondary exam again in order to get good marks.
Even your marks is very poor thus even you will also not be eligible for appearing in other engineering entrances exam and if you have allowed to appear in the exam you will not be selected in best colleges because their cut off marks required in 10+2 will be high.

The Maharashtra engineering exam is basically of 1 and 1/2 hours of total durations.
The questions is asked from physics, chemistry and mathematics from 10+2 level.

The marks per subjects is as follows:-
    Physics - 50 marks.
    Chemistry - 50 marks.
    Mathematics - 100 marks.

Try to prepare yourself from now onwards so that you may get good marks this year.

Do not buy much books ,onl buy books of high quality such as arihant publications etc.
Join good coaching institutes or teachers and have faith on your teacher.

    >It is important to pass 10+2 exam with minimum 50% of marks.
    >Since you have done that therefore you are eligible to give this exam.

    >But you would not be able to sit for the IIT JEE exam as they asks for 60% in aggregate.

    dear friend,

SORRY; that you are not eligible because for engineering in Maharashtra you must have 50% in PCM.

IF you are really interested in engineering then you have to improve your percentage.
if you improve your percentage then you can get best colleges of Maharashtra.
nothing in 1 year but this one year change your life.

in my opinion you have to improve your percentage.

    best of luck..................

    hi friend

sorry, you are not eligible for engineering courses.

---->for any engineering courses ,you must ahve passed your 10+2 with the subjects physics, chemistry, mathematics with the %of marks not less than50.

-----> AIEEE criteria is also the same .

however there are some colleges in maharashtra in which you can take admission on the basis of your marks with little donation.

note: you may select some other career option with the help of these marks.

    1.NDA

    2.BANK JOBS

    3..BCA

    4.PHARMACY COURSES.

    5.JOURNALISM

    6.HOTEL MANAGEMENT.

hope the information is clear to you .

    all the best

Re: Am I eligible for Engineering in Maharashtra after scoring 42% in PCM and 59% in HSC?

Yes you can get admission for Engineering if you score good rank in entrance examination.
But it seems so difficult to get admission with 42 % .
If you comes under reserved category than you can get admission.
There are many private institute from where you can do this course.

But why you are not applying for some other course if you are weak in MPC group.
There are so many professional courses through which you can get good job in company.
    Such as
    BBM
    BCA
    BMS
    BBA
    Animation course
    Hotel mangement course
    Mass and journalism course.

    Thanks
