    yes,you are eligible for engineering but you have to take admission in master of technology courses.you can take admission in following branches-

    1 Applied mechanics

    2 Automobile engineering

    3 Aeronautical engineering

    4 Robotics

    5 Design engineering

    6 electrical engineering in power

    7 structural analysis and design specialization

    8 nanotechnology.

    you can take admission in Ph.D in physics (in any specified subjects according to your master degree subject).

    you have to qualify the GATE exam to get admission in M.tech.GATE is conducted by IITs every year in the month of February.result will be declared in the month of march.once you got qualified in GATE ,you have to fill application form of various colleges.All the IITs will take admission through GATE.All the NITs are organizing a centralized counselling.

    if you wanna go for Ph.D then you have to qualify the NET exam which is conducted by UGC.this exam is conducted by UGC twice in a year.

    Re: Am I eligible to do engineering after completion of M.Sc in Mechanics?

    You can do M.Tech in Engineering after M.Sc.

    Eligibility for gate:

    You should be a Bachelor degree holder in Engineering OR Technology OR Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and even if you are in the final year can also write GATE.

    You should be a Master degree holder in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and even if you are in the final year of such programmes.

    If you are in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/ Technology.

    Second and third year MCA students are also eligible for GATE

    First and Second year MSc students are also eligible for GATE

    # There is no limit on number of attempts in eligibility for GATE exam.
    # There is no age limit either for appearing in GATE exam.

    ->GATE score and percentile change with the standard of that year GATE question paper.
    ->If GATE paper is easy then most of the students get good ranks but the All India Rank(AIR) will be high too.
    ->If paper is tough then with less score one can get a very good all India rank.

    Exam pattern:

    TIPS to crack the GATE::

    * Discuss Quality of questions
    * Collection of quality books
    * Uniqueness in the study material
    * Solve previous years GATE papers more often
    * Simulate actual test environment
    * Analyze
    * Revise as much as possible
