To study B.Sc in chemistry its mandatory pass in all the science subjects.
If it was some arts related subjects then probably the college authority could have overlooked your marks.
So I would recommend you to give your mathematics exam another time as an external.
Contact your school authority to know more about it. They will guide you through this.
    Good luck

Dear you can go for it, only if your board declares you overall pass. because some of the institutes just wants pass certificate after failing in one subject and you board given you pass certificate, try some private universities and colleges for the same. like anna, lovely, stm etc

    dear,
Even if you have secured an additional subjects, you must have to perform all PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND MATHS for graduation in non-medical. so first clear your compartment, because even in b.sc. chemistry you have to opt mathematics as subsidiary subject.

    all the best
