Qualification Criteria for Central Teacher Eligibility Test

The qualification criterion is different for Class I – V and Class I – VIII teachers.

For Class I – V:

Aspirants should have passed the intermediate course in any of the streams from a recognized Board.

Additionally, they should have done Diploma or graduation course in Elementary Education.

The percentage requirement in the 10+2 course is 50% for B Ed candidates and 45% for B Ed aspirants..

For Class I – VIII:

The educational qualification required to attend the test is a pass in the Bachelors’ degree program in Arts or Science disciplines with 50%.

In addition, they should have done the graduation program in Education, which is recognized by the recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.

Application Procedure for Central Teacher Eligibility Test

Applicants can procure forms either from CBSE, New Delhi or from the selected branches of Syndicate bank.

After duly filling the forms, aspirants should send it to the CTET Unit by post or in person prior to the last date enclosing the relevant documents.

They can also rely upon the online modes for submitting the CTET forms

submission of online application from 01-11-2011 till 25-11-2011.

Last date for the receiving application by post: 30-11-2011

Written test: 29-01-2012

Paper-I: 10:00am to 11:30am

yes you are eligible for ctet exam after completing b.ed as educational qualification required for ctet exam is you must have completed higher secondary or equivalent with min 50% marks and graduation with 45% markes. on line application starts form 1.11.2011 to 25.11.2011. exam fee 500 for general and 250 for sc/st student. student has to post the filled document via speed post before 20.11.2011 on the address “The Assistant Secretary (CTET Unit), Central Board of Secondary Education, ‘Shiksha Sadan’, 17, Rouse Avenue, New Delhi – 110002”.

TET will be a compulsory and essential requirement for securing a teaching job in all types of schools.

You must have a valid degree for B.Ed course.

The certificate can not be more than 7 years old.

There will be 2 papers with objective multiple choice questions. Each paper will consist of 150 questions. These papers are intended for different levels of teaching as described below.

1. Paper I: For those want to become teachers for classes I-V.
2. Paper II: For those want to teach classes between VI and VIII.
3. Paper I and II: Those interested in teaching from Class I to VIII will have to appear and qualify in both the papers.

Age:- There is no upper age limit to apply for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

1. Child Development and Pedagogy

2. Mathematics

3. Environmental Study

4. Language I (medium of instruction)

5. Language II (chosen from a list other than language I)

As specified above each section will have 30 questions of one mark each.

The last date to apply for UP TET 2011 examination is 18th October, 2011.
C-TET 2011 EXAM DATE :- 13th November, 2011.

Yes you are eligible for CTET exam.The ministry of Human Resource Development,Govt.Of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the central teacher eligibility test(CTET) to the central board of secondary education.

Eligibility :

As primary(class I-V) stage you have to pass your senior secondary/its equivalent with at least 50% of marks.

As Elementary stage(class V-VIII) you have to pass your graduation with 50% of marks in any recognized university.

Important dates;

The examination will be conducted on 29th January 2011.
