Minimum eligibility criteria is 50% in almost all the colleges even when you opt for management quota or NRI seats but try convincing the college administration to get a seat in civil engineering.

    All the best.

You are not eligible for most of the popular exams like AIEEE, IITJEE, VITEEE for engineering, because of low percentage, atleast 50% are required to be eligible.
Either you should go for Diploma course or take admission through donation in some pvt institute. After which you can take admission in civil engineering in direct 2nd yr of btech after scoring atleast 60% in diploma course.

Yes there are some colleges which will offer you course in civil engineering but you have to go through by management quota,
you may not find any good colleges.
At least 50% of marks are required by most of the colleges and the colleges are also very less which will provide civil engineering seats.
very less chances are there for you, negligible.
    Do try something else.
And if you are poor at studies then why are you going for B Tech which requires really a good knowledge of science and maths.
    Good luck...!!

Re: Am I eligible for Civil Engineering after scoring 49.8% in 12th?

Civil engineering is a full time undergraduate program of 4 years duration. After scoring such low percentage of marks you are not eligible for any trade of engineering as the minimum criteria for admission is 60% with science stream. You will not be able to give any entrance exam or get any seat through any legitimate counseling. However if you have good "source" then you might get admission through management quota or paid seat.
Also you could think of something other than engineering as it will require you to study science and maths in future also and it seems to be your weak point,Try courses like Hotel management,Tourism and hospitality,or short term courses like that in animation and networking.

Sorry to say, dear but you are not eligible for AIEEE exam.

Since, you have scored only 49.8 % in 10+2.

To be eligible for AIEEE exam, you must score at least 50% marks or above in 10+2 exam.

So, you can appear for Improvement exam of your 10+2 marks and can improve your percentage.

In the same year, you can also appear for AIEEE exam.
