Yes you can apply for the CDS exam if you have done your BCA. You need to be a graduate. The criteria for attending the various wings of defense are different. You need to be between 19-25 years. You should also be unmarried candidates. Since you have done BCA, you can apply for the Indian Navy and Indian Air force. The final year candidates can also apply. There is no restriction on the candidates who have done their distance courses for attending the CDS.

Combined Defence Service Examination (CDS)

It is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year.

To apply for this examination you should be graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Eligibility Requirements:

You should be a Citizen Of India.

Education Qualification:

To apply for the CDS examination you should be graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for this examination.

There will be a entrance Test Conducted by the UPSC you have to Qualify in the exam.

You need to qualify in the Fitness test as per rules.

Age Limit:

For the CDS examination candidate age should be between 19 to 25.

There will be relaxation for the Sc/St and OBC candidates for 3 to 5 years.

As you have completed your graduation you can apply for the CDS exam.

yes you are eligible to take an examination of CDS exam.Actually the following are qualifications required to take exam
1.The candidate must be an Indian
2.The candidate must completed graduation in ant stream
3.The candidate completed graduation from any discipline university
4.The age of the candidates is 21-28 years
5.The candidate secured 55%marks
So after you have above qualifications you have to take CDS exam which is conducted by UPSC twice in a year

IF you have done your graduation degree in BCA stream from Sikkim Manipal then waht is the problem ,obviously you applicable for CDA exam.

If you have studied science side in 11th-12th then you are applicable for all three wings army,air-force,navy.
FOr become a officer you have to appear for CDSE exam conducted by UPSC two times a yr.

After cracking CDSE exam you can be a army officer,can opt for air force officer(pilot),can be a navy officer,but this all depends on your choice ,which you need to be filled at the time of form filling.
But for all these you have to clear CDSE exam.

Eligibility for CDSE:
1.You should be a Indian citizen.

2.you should be unmarrried.

3.For army-any graduate degree(min.50%),for airforce and navy-graduation degree with maths and physics or engg. degree(min 60%).

4.Age should be between 19-24 yrs. for army(For IMA)19-25 for OTA,19-23 for air force.

Procedure for CDS:
1. Three written exams one is of maths,one is of english,one is of general awareness.

2.After that you will be called for SSB,its a process of 5 days.

3.Medical test for 5 days.

ii)Intelligence & Personality test :Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate,GD,group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. etc...

After getting selected in interview ,the candidates are called for medical examination which is conducted by Military Hospitals.

Pre-Commission training After getting final selected the candidates are called for Training.
