Re: Am I eligible for CAT while studying 2nd year B.Tech? How should I get prepared for CAT?

    DEAR FRIEND,

    HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL.

BUT SORRY TO INFORM YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO GIVE CAT EXAM DURING YOUR SECOND YEAR OF BTECH.

HERE ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR GIVING THE CAT EXAM:-

1.CANDIDATE MUST HOLD A BACHELORS DEGREE FROM ANY UNIVERSITY RECOGNISED BY UGC OR AN EQUIVALENT DEGREE FROM A UNIVERSITY RECOGNISED BY MINISTRY OF HUMAN RE
    SOURCE DEVELOPMENT.WITH A RELAXATION OF 5% FOR SC,ST,DA,PWD.

2.IN CASE YOU HAVE OBTAINED YOUR DEGREE IN TERMS OF GRADES OR CGPA THEN THE CONVERSION WILL BE DONE BASED ON THE PROCEDURE CERTIFIED BY THE UNIVERSITYOR THE INSTITUTION FROM WHERE YOU HAVE OBTAINED YOUR BACHELORS DEGREE .SO THERE IS NO NEED TO WORRY IN THIS CASE EVEN.

3.IF YOUR UNIVERSITY DOESNOT MENTION ITS PROCEDURE THEN PERCENTAGE WOULD BE CALCULATED BY DIVIDING YOUR CGPA BY THE MAXIMUM POSSIBLE CGPA AND MULTIPLYING IT BY 100.

4.CANDIDATES APPEARING IN THE FINAL YEAR OF THE RESPECTIVE DEGREE OR AWAITING FOR THE RESULTS CAN ALSO APPEAR FOR THE EXAM BUT THEY WOULD BE ALLOTED A SEAT ON QUALIFYING ONLY IF THEY SUBMIT ALL THE DOCUMENTS STATING THAT THEY HAVE COMPLETED THEIR BACHELORS DEGREE FROM A RECOGNISED UNIVERSITY.

5.DURING SELECTION PROCESS THERE SHOULD BE A UNIQUE PHONE NUMBER AND EMAIL ACCOUNT FOR YOU.

    HOPE THE INFORMATION HELPED YOU.

    ALL THE BEST.

Re: Am I eligible for CAT while studying 2nd year B.Tech? How should I get prepared for CAT?

    YES go for it,

INSTRUCTIONS – Please read these carefully before attempting the test

    1. This is based on pattern of previous years CAT papers.

    2. There are three sections.

    3. The total time allotted is 2 hours exactly. Please note your start time and end
time on the answer sheet. Do not take more than 2 hours, or you will get a
    wrong assessment.

    4. Please fill all the details, as asked on top of the answer sheet.

    5. Please try to maximize your attempt overall but you need to do well in all
    three sections.

    6. Different question carry different marks – some are for ½ marks, some are
for 1 mark and some others for 2 marks.

    7. There is negative marking for every wrong answer.

    8. Since it is a time constrained test and you have 2 hour, and all question
carry equal marks please do not get struck on any question, but move fast to
    try and do easier one.

    9. Please do all scratch work on paper only, no extra sheets to be used. Put all
your answers on the answer sheet.

    10. Relax. You are competing against yourself.

I HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU...
