Yes you are eligible for Common Proficiency Test(CPT).Common proficiency test is the gateway for
admission to Charted accountancy course. The eligibility for appearing in CPT exam is a pass in
12 th standard. You can even appear in this exam if you are a science subjects pass out in 10+2.
The CPT is organised two times in a year in the month of June and December. The examination
pattern is a objective one and is of 200 marks. The examination is divided into four sections
which are General economics, Accounting, Mercantile law and Quantitative aptitude. Being a
student from Science background you will have some problem in preparing for subjects
like Accounting and Mercantile Law.But if you thought of becoming a Charted accountant then
you have to do it. After clearing CPT you will be eligible for studying the first stage of CA course
that is the Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) whose exam is held againg two
times a year in the month of June and December. After clearing course you will be required to
compleate a articleship of 3 years after which you can appear in CA Final.

3.After PCC you have to appear for GMC(General Management

Re: Am I eligible for CA CPT Exam after completing my B.Sc course in 2010?

CPT that is common proficiency test is a first step for becoming a Chartered Accountant.this exam is held twice a year in the month of June and December. This is conducted by ICAI.
This paper consist of questions of quantitative aptitude, mercantile law, business ,economics, Accounting, etc.

The eligibility for this exam is having +2. But these who have completed their graduation are exempted from appearing in CPT instead of that they can directly appear for second stage that is IPCC,intermediate professional competence examination.

As you have completed your graduation,so you can directly appear for second stage.
