You can become a software developer but not engineer. For becoming an engineering you must have given any of the joint exams like IIT-JEE or AIEEE etc. Your age must be below 21 years for that case. Since you have completed your M.Sc I prseume you are near about 22 years old. Now as I said you can surely and definetely become a software developer.
The question is HOW? You can do either of the 2 options I mention over here.
1. Software Developer is a technical job that is mostly opted when you pass out as a software engineer. Join MCA course. By virtue of your M.Sc results any private university that has MCA course approved by AICTE will enroll you. After passing out you can opt for any corporate sector and join there as a software developer.
2. OR you can joj M.Tech course. This is more or less equivalent to any engineering course depending on the university you join in. The procedure for campus recruitment is same as MCA.
