To become a Chartered Accountant you have to succeed three stages

    1. Common Proficiency Test (CPT) -Entry level test

    2. Integrated Professional Competence Course -First stage of theoretical education

    3. Final Course -Final stage of theoretical training

Besides these the student or trainee has to undergo articleship for a small period usually (3 years ) in reputed firm which will be considered as practical training

As far as the procedure to become a Chartered accountant is concerned, it can be stated as follows:

The subjects to be studied includes fundamental of accountancy, economics, mercantile law and quantitative aptitude. The exam is usually conducted twice in a year(written).
Month as well as the date for online exam may be different.

    2)IPCC(Integrated professional competence course)-
After qualifying the first level, you can register for the intermediate level. This level consists of seven papers. Each exam is a subjective examination of 100 marks.
The subject which is required to be studied includes- accountancy, financial management, cost accounting, audit, strategic management, information technology,
taxation, corporate law, ethics and communication , etc.

    3)CA Final-
This is the final exam after which the student can get a certificate of practice from the institute. The exam consists of two groups. And both groups are required to be cleared in order to
qualify the exam. But before appearing for this exam , you have to get registered with the institute as well as you have to complete three years of article ship training
under a Chartered accountant who is practicing as a professional in India or we can say that he must have a certificate of practice of working in India.
