    Am I eligible for B.Ed course after passing B.A with 42% and M.A with 47%? Which are the B.Ed colleges around Mumbai?

    i appeared for my M.A EXAMS THIS YR 2011. I CLEARED MY M.A 1st yr with 47%. my B.A percentage is less around 42%. i want 2 do B.ED. AM I ELIGIBLE FOR b.ed COURSE.and plz suggest me the colleges all around mumbai. for B.ED

    The minimum percentage required will vary. You need to check the same in the institute that you plan to apply. In most of the institutes 50% will be a must. So you must work hard and ensure that you have the required score in M.A. With this you will be able to teach in Junior College. Also if you have above 55% you can take the NET exam. With this you can become a college lecturer i.e. at graduation level. There are quite a few B.Ed colleges in Mumbai. The popular ones include Bombay Teachers' Training College, K. J. Somaiya Comprehensive College of Education, St. Xavier’s Institute of Education. Other than this there are Secondary Training College (Govt), St. Teresa’s Institute of Education, Society for Higher Education of Women in India etc. You can select the institute near you and check out the eligibility criteria.

    you can take addimission but In most famous institutes 50% will be a must.

    you have lesss perentage , so will face some problem, but through IGNOU and some colleges like: K.J.Somaiya Comp. College of Education, St. xavier Institute of education .

    The eligibility varies between different colleges.But try scoring 60% or atleast 55%.Then you could apply to a good institute for you B.Ed.Moreover you will be also eligible for appearing NET exam which will give you more career opportunities in the field of teaching.

    Admission to the B.Ed. Program is open to men and women from all parts of the country.


    Eligibility:

    a) you should have any Bachelor’s degree or any other equivalent course from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+3 or
    11+2+2 pattern,

    or
    with a minimum 55 % marks in aggregate in the 10+2+2 or 11+3 pattern

    b)you should study at-least two subjects, to be later taken as the teaching subjects at the bachelor’s degree level with minimum 50% marks.

    c)any Master degree and M.aster in commerce,Philosophy, Sociology or Psychology course from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% .

    d)you should study at least two subjects at the bachelor’s degree level,which will you take as the teaching subject.

    FRIEND,

    Yes you are eligible for the B.ED course if you have a Teaching experience of two years in the primary schools of INDIA anywhere and that must be given by the principal of the college.

    So the eligibility criteria for the B.ED Entrance exam is:

    1)You must have a bachelor degree or a higher degree from any recognized university.

    2)You must have a two year teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis in a primary, secondary/higher/senior secondary school recognised by the central or a state government or a union territory.

    3)The experience certificate should be issued by the Principal, or Headmaster/Headmistress.

    4)The required teaching experience of two years must be completed on or before the last date of submission of application as notified in the advertisement.

    SELECTION PROCEDURE:

    The Admission will be done on the basis of Entrance Test. The entrance test will be held around July/August. Advertisement inviting applications for the entrance test is usually issued in April/May.

    The Duration of the exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes and the exam consists of Multiple choice type questions and the paper also has negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

    There are Five sections in the test of 15 Marks and 15 Questions Each:

    You can appear for B.Ed course after passing B.A with 42% and M.A with 47% as criteria is not fixed it depends upon University to university . Here is the criteria for B.Ed course based on which you can appear for B.Ed course admission .

    You need to have bachelor’s degree or a higher degree from a recognized university.
    You need to having 50% marks in bachelor's degree.
    There is no age limit in B.ED Course.
